How did I miss you guys?

OK I am so glad to see this thread I don't know how I missed it. I have been thinking it' a shame there wasn't more Ozzies to compare notes with and here you are.

I am in Perth and I am a 3a with some 2c I think. I am growing my curls out from a short cut and my hair is just below shoulder lenght now. It's in pretty bad shape so I am hoping to learn how to care for it and find better products to help that.

Its nice to meet you. I live QLD and am a 3a/b with some 2a/b/c (depending the day). This board and whole site is an inspiration. I have finally learnt to love my hair. I hope that enjoy it here.

hi jewel007 and curly^chrissy!! I'm a 3a with come 2a, fine and about a ii in thickness. I'm in melbourne area, and constantly on the search for new products. I already have my HG's, but I have to order them from USA or canada so its getting pricey. what are you girls using?

Hi Ravanlox,

At the moment I am experimenting with Jessicurl which I order out of Sydney. I use the gentle lather shampoo once a week and quite like the confident coils as a styling cream. I am still struggling to find a decent gel. I have another trial pack arriving this week and am hoping that rocking ringlets gives me the hold that I want.

For my CO wash I use natural instincts conditioner. Its lavender based and I find that it keeps my hair clean inbetween shampoos but for my hair its too drying to use on its own. It is fairly easy to get and cheap for an organic shampoo. I have seen it at alot of chemists or healthfood stores. I also use australian organics conditioner to moisturise my hair and use as a leave in. It smells nice and really, really cheap ($6 for a 300ml bottle) but the only problem is that it is only found at coles and not all coles stock it. I am still waiting to find out if the coles closest to me will stock it.

Since I like to mostly use natural products I always check out the healthfood stores. Sometimes they have some reasonable priced conditioners.

I use the natural instincts conditioner also. It gives me great slip, minus the cones. I find it value for money too, as a little goes a long way. Also have been ordering jessicurl stuff from www.curlyhairmagazine.com.au
. Love RR and Too Shea. Not liking confident coils, but maybe better in summer. When I do use shampoo (rarely) its the natural instincts one or mastey traite. Mastey Moisturee as condish. Still continuing to order B and A gel from overseas as well as curl keeper. ahhh... it's just too good to miss out on. Not really into gels at the moment, as my hair isn't really long enough to really need them. Taft mega gel is good though, no alcohol or cones. Works good for when I really want to pump up the curls. I will keep an eye out for the australian organics stuff. Haven't seen it at my local coles, but you never know, it could be hiding.

The australian organics is in the healthfood aisle of coles and it normally hides on the botton shelf.
