Default Alberto-Balsam Conditioners

I saw them at IGA. They look exactly the same as the VO5 conditioners they sell in the US. There was Kiwi-Lime Squeeze, Strawberries & Cream, Passionfruit Smoothie etc. Have you tried them? I'm scared they will be a little too light for my hair type though. Just curious

I saw some in Cheap as Chips a couple of weeks ago, can't remember what scent they were but I'm pretty sure they had cones in. Maybe they were something different to the ones you've seen. Will have to keep an eye out.

The ones I'm talking about look like this:

Except they are conditioners. There are vo5 conditioners w/ cones and also alberto-balsam conditioners in the cylindrical bottles too. They have cones, however the ones like the bottle shown above are cone free and apparently paraben free too.

I've tried this one...it has protein in it and i loved it for a co-wash! Rather light but perfect for me. I got it from another aussie who bought it back from the states! smelt yummy (super sweet)

If they are the same I'd love to get my hands on some!

Yep they are exactly the same but have the alberto-balsam label. Very cheap too. As I said, you can get them at IGA if you have one near you

Ah no, that wasn't what I saw. The ones I saw were big round bottles and looked like what my friend used to use when we were at school (in the 70's, yikes!).

Im using them at the moment, i use them for a cowash & also as a leave in. Im not finding them all that great but i don't know if thats just coz im only in my 2nd week or if its just too thin. Im still experiencing quite alot of frizz, is this normal??

I'd only use them as a co-wash not as a rinse out or leave in condish. Way to light for that.

pre cg I LOVED this but I don't think it's cg - i can't find the ingredients for some reason. It's aussie made and smells amazing.

What are you using as your rinse out conditioner - you can leave some of that in or rinse it out and add some in to your hair afterwards. Otherwise you could try aloe vera gel (Fruit Of The Earth brand is available at priceline) ummm...that's all i can think of at the moment.

I found these at my local iga but when I picked them up to have a look I noticed they all have stearylkonium (?sp) chloride in them. It's one of the few ingredients I know my hair doesn't like - frizz city. Typical, my hair obviously has expensive tastes, more's the pity!

I know that sucks, hey. My hair has a particular taste too. If a conditioner or gel is made of just chemicals then I can't use it because it will do nothing for me. The products I use now have heaps of natural ingredients and I fin the more botanicals the product contains, the more slip and moisture it will provide. I don't think I will try these conditioners myself but it was cool seeing your opinions on it.
