Because he's always been a huge fan of James Brown and he's worn his hair like that for years as a tribute to James Brown. It's just his thing. His hair doesn't bother me. Plus..I just think it would be odd for him to not have his hair conked.

I'm just glad to see that he's lost a really significant amount of weight in his older age which I'm sure has been extremely beneficial to his overall health.

Well now I know why. LOL!


Personally, I don't think it would look weird for him to sport his natural hair texture. I'm trying to Google for a pic of him with an Afro (I think he may have had one in the 70s), but nothing is turning up in Google.
