Sara Gilbert's hair
I've been watching Roseanne lately and I am in love with Darlene's hair! Anyone else agree? It's so gorgeous!

Heck yeah! I started watching it a few months ago and I couldn't stop staring. She's one of the reasons I'm growing my hair out again!

Right?! I wish I had nearly as much volume as she does! But when I look at pictures of her now her hair looks a lot straighter and has much less volume. I wonder if it's age or what?

Don't like her haircut now. I think it's mainly just the cut - too short for her curls to fully form. Mine is like that when it's short now. Wasn't a problem when I was younger, and it was more tightly curled anyway.

She used to be a full on 3b, which is curlier when short. Her current length would absolutely support her type. I'm guessing post childbirth curl loosening. It's not uncommon. A member here when from 3b to 2a/b after kids.

I've been watching it again, too - they had like a 48-hour marathon a couple weeks ago haha. I watched the show when it was on originally and I was jealous of her hair back then - and I didn't even have curls at the time lol. Even more jealous seeing it now - it's just beautiful.

My hair:
2b wavy, medium texture, low porosity, med-high density. Protein finicky.
My routine:
Cleansing: DCNP, every 4-5 days (occasionally use CJ cleansers).
RO: CJSC, occasionally use JCDC
LI: KCKT or CJSL
Gel: KCCC, CJCIAB for 2nd day hair (sometimes third)
Heat is my friend: warm water rinses, steam caps, and diffuse dry. I love CLU cloths and my Denman.

Yeah, that's just what happened with me, though just from hormonal changes with age, not pregnancy. Before, when mine was short, it was very curly, but it sure isn't now - it was 3b with some 3c back then.
Now it has to be nearly shoulder length before it will form good, complete curls.

I didn't know the length of the hair could affect the curl. I guess cuz mine has been long for most of my life. But I have seen pictures of me as a kid and it was curlier back then and more voluminous. I wish I had that hair again!

Length doesn't always matter - usually just with looser curls like mine is now and like Sarah's seems to now be.

I think they might use a curling iron on her hair to take out much of the curl. Also, in her case, is it possible that lots of layers make her hair look thinner? Then there is hormones and age... My hair is thinner now than it was when I was younger.
