I don't think I would call it a Farrah Fawcett hairstyle, but yes, I am definitely tired of all celebrities having the same style.
Case in point:

wavy in the picture. but their stylists probably blew their hair straight, then put rollers in it, and then finished with a curling iron to get that pretty wavy look. so labour intensive.

I'm not sick of it at all. I love the soft waves, and I'm hoping my hair can look this way in a year or so when it has grown out a bit more.

Unfortunately those waves look to be manufactured. I never see anyone in real life with waves like that.

You know what's really annoying about these manufactured curls?
That's all I EVER see in books for curly hair!
It's like everytime I want to cut my hair or style it a new way, the pics are CLEARLY of manufactured curls!
I don't want to use a curling iron ... I HAVE curls!
yeesh!

I know! I was looking at an ad for an Aveda product, moisturizing condish or whatever, and the model had huge loopy seperated waves that were obviously from a curling iron. I was like, well, that conditioner won't ever do that to my hair because those curls are fake and would never exist in nature!!!

I KNOW!
It's so annoying!
If I want to do a curly hair style, I want it too be with my natural curls.
[and no offense to anyone here... but if you straighten and then curl your own curls ... you're NUTS!]
Anyone know of places (besides here) that show NATURAL curls?? I'm always looking for new hair styles ... but one I can do with my OWN curls.

Seriously...I asked a hairstylist a few years ago to not style my new haircut straight, but show me how to make it look good with my natural wavy and curly texture. I phrased it that way, too...and yet he promptly blew it out and then curled it with a curling iron. As he started I asked what he was doing, and he said "I'm smoothing it out so that I can curl it!" I was so speechless at the stupidity/clear ignoring of what I asked for that I just let him do it...
On the bright side, there are some celebrities who do seem to wear their natural wavy and/or curly texture...I've seen pictures of Keri Russell, Tina Fey and Lisa Edelstein all look like this, among others, and they look beautiful! I wish people would do this more often.

I don't see anything wrong with using a curling iron to get the look you want.
I also don't think it's right to say straight hair has no personaity. It's not fair to the girls with straight hair.
Im sure if a straight haired girl said curlies have no personality...you all would attack her lol.
Obviously it's healthier to not use curling irons and things, but some people need to

i also agree if u want to use a curling iron no one can stop u but in my opinion i dont really want straight hair like i used to. i used 2 cry and pray that i could get curly hair and one day i became so frustrated w/ my hair i cut it ALL off. then i really started to appreciate what i have (u know after it took ages for my hair to grow back) and to me now straight hair just hangs there but w/ curly hair u can make it straight or wear it curly but straight hair can never get that natural curly look. and yes i am kinda sick of the "look at me im not really curly" farrah fawcett look but in a way im sort of flattered that ppl go through so much trouble to have the hair where blessed w/. wee dont need heat to get curls!
