Default New Supreme Court Nominee Sonia Sotomayor

She's not only a woman (and would be only the third to sit on the Supreme Court); not only a Puerto Rican American (and would be the first, or maybe second, Hispanic to sit on the Court), and a native New Yorker who grew up in the south Bronx -- but she's also a curly, and she wore her hair curly today for her nomination.

Whoo-hoo!

This is the best I could find right now -- much better on TV!

I was catching up on the news and came across this one which I thought was nice [that's with her mom]:

This is kind of dumb, but she reminds me a bit of my favorite library-lady. And I like that.

More pix, showing a progression -- looks like she's been embracing her curls more in recent years. When she was in high school, I bet she was straightening with orange juice cans -- that was the thing in those days!

WildCurl, that photo with her mom is the best -- nice curls there! -- and is part of this slide-show from the NY Times. That is a great photo! I teared up when she was talking about her mom.

Yes, she is, a beautiful face -- and she's got the curls, too!
That photo shows a lot of love between them; very sweet.

Great idea to include her here. Love it that we have a curly woman on the Supreme Court!
