Yes I did!
And I would recommend it as I will probably use it again when I want to color.
I used 5CB Châtain-Noisette and it gave me a beautiful, shiny color. (My natural color is dark ash blonde.)
Hair felt soft and the conditionner that came with it was also great!
It's a big yes!
Free the Curls!

UPDATE: I bought #5 (medium brown) and it came out great. The grape jelly conditioner has a cone in it, but its water soluble. However, the smell of the conditioner is eh, ok - it doesnt smell great or bad. Since I'm CG the color is definitely staying in longer! Though I left it on for 20 minutes instead of 10 so its a couple shades darker. Overall, my hair came out shiny and soft. For the first couple days my curls were limp (probably because of the color weighing it down) but after a few washes my curls are back and i get great clumps again!

Does this cover gray at all? I'm using Revlon's Colorsilk which is an ammonia-free haircolor that I like, but I'm toying with the idea of something even gentler like the L'Oreal product, or even Natural Instincts. Reason I haven't done this yet is that I heard that once one has any amount of grey in the hair, only PERMANENT color can deal with it. Thoughts? I'm not ready to go grey by a lo-ong shot, so no recs to let it go(with my complexion, my hair would have to be nearly all white to look good and it's not there yet for a long time). If stuff like the L'Oreal product or the Natural Instincts in fact don't cover grey, I'll just stick with the Colorsilk which is actually a great product for very little money esp. on sale which it is this week at Walgreens.

caramix -- I have crazy coarse, low porosity, wire-filament grey hair (about 30%), which is the most difficult to color. I have been able to use demi-permanent colors to blend them. The color doesn't typically last as long, but I found the longevity to be only modestly less than permanent colors.
I've been getting good results on my dye-resistant grey hair with Natural Instinct.

Here's what I do: Before I mix the developer and tint, I take a tint brush and coat my grey stripe (I've got most of my gray concentrated at the temples and hairline) with developer. I let that sit for 5 minutes, then I mix up the tint and developer and apply normally. I start with the grayest areas so the color is on them the longest.

I also find that using a tint brush helps a lot; I used to always miss some spots along the hairline. The tint brush allows me to coat everything much more evenly and efficiently.

My gray usually starts showing again around week 4, which is acceptable. It doesn't get really bad til week 5, though. And I like not having obvious roots.

I use a color about one shade darker than my natural color. It's a little dark the first week but quickly fades to match really well. A lot of people prefer to use a shade or two lighter to tint the grays blonder and make them look like highlights.
2a/b right now; 2c when it's longer

Current favorites:
Suave Naturals Coconut co-wash
GVP Protein Restructuring Conditioner
GVP Conditioning Balm
Eco-Styler, LALSG, BRHG, Garnier Curl Shaping Spray Gel
ACV rinse 1x per week
I'm debating whether or not to try this semi-permanent color. Since Garnier Herbashine discontinued the light ash brown, I really need to find another semi-permanent line. I tried Clairols Natural Instincts but found the color didn't cover my grays (in hair line) long (about 2-3 weeks at the most). I loved HerbaShine's coverage.

Is anyone still using Loreal Healthy Look Hair Color? Thanks!
