Default Styling hair after henna

I just used Lush's Caca Rouge henna on my hair. My hair was virgin hair. I have never permanently colored my hair before.

So what do I need to avoid in sh/cnd and styling items? I read that lemon juice can be a problem causing fading (it is in my Lush conditioner)? How about magnesium sulfate (in RR) or alcohol (in my Aveda Confixtor)?

Thnaks!

Well, in my experience, not much short of 30 vol bleach actually fades henna! For better or worse, it's on your head...

Lemon juice will lighten it slightly but it usually re-oxidizes and darkens again. Many people have tried to lighten hennaed hair with lemon juice or honey only to have it darken again in a few days.

Heat will darken hennaed hair; so if you do notice fading you could try blowdrying it. Flatirons are reported to really darken it but of course we curlies don't have much use for those, do we?

I found my hair was much less porous after hennaing, which made it dislike protein. But not much affected the color.

Hair colour, you can choose the color according to your hair and this is the best and looks nice too, and after henna hair should try it, and that hair color is be long time in your hair.
