if you use 100% natural body art quality henna, you won't run into anything crazy like your hair turning green or it burning or something. You WILL get variations in color though... the blond sections are going to be BRIGHT red, the dark brown/black sections are only going to have a tint of red in the run. And when your hair starts to grow in, your natural color will likely be a different shade too. Henna doesn't lighten or darken hair, it only deposits red color on top of what's already there.
