Henna on color treated hair?

Before I started CG, I had my hair dyed dark brown almost black underneath and blonde highlights on the top. I LOVE red hair, and I really wanna try henna, but I heard that if you have color treated hair you shouldn't use it cuz it makes it a different color or worse or something.

I was wondering if anyone had tried this and what were the results?

You can use Jamila henna powder and Shelly Mehandi powder. You should not pay more than about $ 12 per 100 grams. A packet of powder products through approximately three colors for my long hair. Each color lasts about two or three months for me, its really my roots begin to show light.

if you use 100% natural body art quality henna, you won't run into anything crazy like your hair turning green or it burning or something. You WILL get variations in color though... the blond sections are going to be BRIGHT red, the dark brown/black sections are only going to have a tint of red in the run. And when your hair starts to grow in, your natural color will likely be a different shade too. Henna doesn't lighten or darken hair, it only deposits red color on top of what's already there.

The only place I've bought it from is online (hennaforhair.com), but I'm willing to be some indian markets and places like that might have it. Basically you just want to make sure it's 100% ground henna... nothing else added, so you know exactly what's going on your hair
