Color Rinse

I am not really interested in dying or hennaing (is that a word?) my hair, I just want a very temporary color, for like a day or two at at time. I lighten my hair with Honey and Olive oil which has been working but its taking a longggg time to get the shade I want. So I picked up Fanci Full Temporary Color Rinse in Chocolate Kiss, a shade of brown that is lighter than my hair color. Not to my surprise, it still made my dark brown hair even darker. Almost a black. Pretty, but not what Im going for, I want more of a chestnut brown. I feel like this brand is more directed towards light haired girls wanting to go darker, not necessary dark haired girls trying to go lighter. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Temporary hair color sprays? Probably don't want to but do you use lemon & then go hop in the sun? That's what I did for my eyebrows.

Hmm now that you mention it, I did do color sprays in highschool a few times. I'll look back into that, thanks!

I usually get the same problem: my hair goes almost black instead of light brown. I'm pretty desperate because dark color doesn't match my face.

How do you lighten with honey and olive oil?

Curlybran, I just mix honey and olive oil in a bowl, wet my hair and bit and slather it on like a normal deep conditioner. Honey is moisturizing, and it produces natural peroxide which will over time lighten hair.. So will cinnamon, I add a dash of that when I feel like it. Ive seen ladies do just cinnamon/conditioner mixes to lighten their hair as well. And the cinnamon makes my hair smell different, in a good way
