Going back to my roots

Dying my hair back to it's natural color today! Looking forward to it! Hope it comes out healthy and natural because right now my hair looks dry and damaged from the bleached highlights. My eyebrows are black so I'm hoping the dark color refreshes me and doesn't pale me out. Hope I find the right color to match m roots.

Dyed my hair soft black revlon colorsilk. My hair is a bit more dry than usual but I'm sure that'll improve with my weekly Dts overtime. The color def matches my roots and eyebrows. I feel a little awkward as if I need a tan or I look a little harsh but at least it's not orange.

Hey Risos, I can relate to what's going on with you because if I don't use a dark enough color I look blah but if the color is too dark I look like a ghost.

For temporary solutions, play around with makeup! Usually, my hair fades a bit after coloring, so yours may soften up a little. Good luck :hello2:

Just colored mine to transition back to my natural color as well. I'm not sure exactly what my color is, but my eyebrows are pretty dark. I use to be naturally blonde, but as I've gotten older my hair has darkened up a lot. I bleached/dyed my hair extremely light blonde (Revlon Ultra light blonde) over the summer. My roots were coming in very dark and I finally decided to dye it (hopefully) one more time and just let it grow out. I chose Revlon dark brown.

I give you ladies so much credit! I was too terrified to attempt permanent color myself and went to a salon instead when went back to my natural color.

I've been using permanent hair color for years. It's all I've ever done. I've never had a professional color done ever. Unless you count highlights. I always had my hair person do highlights when I was younger.

You are quite wise to do so..

I can't tell you how many times I've seen people end up with green hair due to tinting back... it does happen in certain situations!!!

If you are going from a medium ash blonde or lighter to an ash brown, YOU WILL END UP WITH GREENISH HAIR. The reason is that there is not enough red in the hair to balance the high level of ash pigment.

When tinting back from blonde to brown, NEVER use an ashy brown.
