Default Bleached hair question?

I don't know where I should post this since, you know, I'm extremely new to this website. Figured I'd give this category a try.

So about a year ago I went to a hair school to get my nape bleached, so that I'd have my natural brown on top and blonde underneath, obviously. I'm not one to straighten it or curl it much, but my boyfriend likes it when I curl it so I do on occasion.

Ever since I got it bleached though, the blonde will NOT stay curled. A few days ago I bought a new curler, thinking that since mine was from, what.. Middle school? Its time for a new one.

This new one I got gets up to 400 degrees. And even that won't curl my hair. The brown will curl no problemo, but the blonde curls for a second, then just goes back straight.

My hair is about... Idunno I'd say 30" long?

I would appreciate some advice.

I think that section of your hair could benefit from some protein and deep conditioning treatments.

My favorite brands are Kinky Curly, As I am, Curly Kinks, Curl Junkie, and Darcy's Botanicals. Also love sealing with oils (loving argan oil right now) and styling with jelly products (KCCC is my current favorite). Mostly trying to keep it simple!
