Highlights messed up my curls! Help!

So, I decided to try out a new look and decided to get honey blonde highlights in my black hair. My hairdresser said that we should only do a few so it won't damage my hair too much. They look great and my hair straightens nicely without getting frizzy however, when I wear my hair natural, it looks awful! The bleached strands are now wavy and flat. My hair is so rough which is definitely a change because my hair was always soft. I love my highlights and think they look really pretty but this killed my hair. What products do you recommend to put some moisture in it and spring up my curls? FYI, I have a very sensitive scalp so no cones please and I am protein sensitive.

Thanks!

3a/3b curls.
Medium texture, medium porosity, and extremely protein sensitive.
Moderate CG? No harsh sulfates, limited 'cones.
Poo: L'oreal Ever Sleek
Condish: GVP Conditioning Balm
Deep Condish: L'oreal Ever Pure
Styling products: Bumble & Bumble smoothing creme, Not Your Mother's Curl Creme, and Giovanni gel.
I know you said that you're protein sensitive, but honestly, protein is the only thing that might be able to help your highlighted hair regain its curl. As someone who is familiar with color and bleach, I learned quickly that if I wanted to keep my hair on my head, I had to step up the amount of protein I used. My go to product is ApHogee's two step treatment. It's not meant to be used on a regular basis, just every 6-8 weeks at the earliest. In between treatments, find yourself a good moisturizing deep conditioner for weekly use, and a lighter protein based one that you can rotate in as needed.

If your damage isn't that bad, you might be able to get away with something a bit milder. It just depends on what you think is best.

Maybe Curl Junkies Curl Rehab, Hibiscus and Banana Deep Fix, or the Repair Me.

But I'm still damaged so I'm not bleaching anymore :-/ now I'm using Joico k pak products. I recommend the intense hydrator. It left my hair super soft and a bit curlier :-) good luck! I feel ur pain
