I used the light brown last weekend. Hair felt normal afterwards. No dryness or breakage.

The left bottom pic is my hair before.

I did a henna conditioning treatment (where you mix it with conditioner and let it sit for like an hour) late October ish. That's it.

I tried the light brown this past weekend I mixed in my usual no gray additive and got great gray coverage! My mom colors my roots for me and she thought the mixture was thinner and took a heavier coverage than my normal colorsilk. But overall I do really like the shea moisture hair color!

Looks nice like the color. Not sure if this is a dumb question but does it contain any silicones or ingredients that would require me to use a sulfate shampoo after to remove or can I keep on with my CG routine? Also where can I buy it? Target is suppose to carry it but I haven't seen it in the store it doesn't even show on the site.

I'm thinking about using this to color my grays. What's a no gray additive?

I'm unsure of the ingredients in the actual dye, but they do include some of the SM products in the kit, and those are CG. One reviewer I know of definitely washed with the SM shampoo after using their color.

That a nice extra. Does anyone know if one box will be enough or do you need two? I have bsl hair maybe a little pass since it's growing and I always needed 2 packages of whatever dye I'm using just to cover my whole head, would it be the same with this? And has anyone used it over already dyed hair, does the color saturate well?

Hey you guys
So I want to dye my hair jet black and I have two strips of brown. They used to be blonde(bleach) and after about 3-4 months, I did henna and indigo dye on top. I want to try the shea moisture hair dye in black but I'm scared my hair will break off cause the bleach still didnt completely grow out. You guys think it is safe enough to try?

I guess Im the only one underwhelemd by this. I've seen these same results for less from people who henna, just enhance their color with natural lightening and herbs, or the old "koolaide" hair dye trick. I cant justify 14.99 for this. I hope it works well for others though!
