My grey will not hold color!!

Seriously, let it go. You must have your computer set with an alarm for the word "peroxide" and my posts.

If you think it is better to make misleading claims [which could potentially harm someone who is allergic to hydrogen peroxide] than to defend oneself when attacked and to provide information about a product's ingredients, then that's your right, but the accusation that I've been stalking CurliLocks is ludicrous. Had I been stalking CurliLocks' posts, I'd have returned to nc.com long ago to point out her misleading claims.

And if you're not stalking, don't have a vendetta, & haven't been around in years, then how did you happen upon the linked thread & this thread?

Yep, it was about how Robert Craig color contains sodium perborate, which releases hydrogen peroxide when mixed with water. I pointed out that it's misleading to claim that RC color doesn't contain peroxide for this reason. While I was still active on naturallycurly.com [many years ago], CurliLocks stopped making this misleading claim, but I see that's not the case for her recent posts. Hence, my presence is unwanted. [Re: fig jam's hyperbolic claims, I'm just going to let bygones be bygones. People who know me can see those claims for what they are.]

Anyway, I'm amused that I'm perceived as the bad guy here, not the person who started the personal attacks and knowingly misled other NCers about RC color. Any impartial observer can see this for what it is, but I'm not a regular here, so such a reception is to be expected. I don't expect to sway you, so I'm not going to beat this dead horse any longer. Say, in all seriousness, what caused you to change your mind about us? As I recall, your parting words when you committed board suicide were from that Einstein quote about "Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds."

Some people were offended by that, but I wasn't. I thought it was funny. Unless you were serious, in which case I apologize.

How true.

Wait. What? Buttercup?
Buttercup is one of the Powerpuff girls, one of the aliases and avatars BG used (along with the character from the movie Amelie) when there was some big altercation on the board involving her. She accidentally (one assumes) posted as one when she meant to post as another, then switched back, and it was clear she had created a couple of aliases to post under.

I don't know if it was the cause, but after that was pointed out, she committed board suicide and was gone for about 2 years. Now she's back.

Of course, all those good times were lost during the board changes.

Also, fig jam forgot to mention [like she did in the non-hair discussion] that I can't go more than a post or 2 without mentioning my educational background or GRE scores, so we should all be shocked that it took me 10 posts to bring it up....because in my hundreds of posts in the curly discussions about hair product ingredients, all I could ever talk about was my educational background and GRE scores. In fact, I really have no knowledge at all, so I can only convince people that I know anything by repeatedly mentioning it.

fig jam, you also forgot to mention that I eat babies and puppies too! your memory of what happened 4 years ago [not 2, as you claim] is exceedingly accurate, so I'm surprised you forgot my biggest crime against humanity.
I didn't know about all this, or forgot, but it's quite entertaining.

And I thought Buttercup was a gentle dairy heffa.

And I didn't read many of your posts on the curly hair board, but you were famous at the time(not just with me) on the nonhair forum for trying to trump others' arguments with your intellectual background. I don't believe that anyone cared so much that you did that except that you seemed to be trying to make other people feel stupid, which isn't nice.

I do believe it was about 2 years ago, not four, but I don't think it matters.

And I still think you're funny! Glad to see your sense of humor is still intact.

The reason that I am certain of the date is that the drama that led to my "board suicide" involved an argument about the Fallujah mutilations, which occurred in spring 2004.
Well, it clearly matters to you. It still doesn't matter to me, and I still think you're wrong. So let's just agree to disagree.

Just as we'll disagree on whether I am a "bitter and lonely divorcee," as you put in your post before you decided to edit it out above. You didn't think I saw that before you changed it to "nevermind," did you?

I had some reddish streaks put through my hair where I have the most grey. They're still holding strong one week later. Please keep your fingers crossed for me!!

My grey hair will not hold color no matter what I've used: Drugstore or Salon!

I did a rinse maybe 2 weeks ago and the color is holding strong on my brown hair but has totally washed off my greys...grrr! I have a rather large patch of greys in my bangs that I want to cover...not sure what to do now.

Hold off on washing as long as you can - at least for a couple of days. When you do wash or co-wash or whatever you do - make sure you don't use hot water.
If you focus on the negative not only is that what you'll see, that's what you'll be.

Figjam, I am very amused and sympathetic to what I read here. Beethovengirl has done the exact same thing over at MakeupAlley, and she's alienated many posters who now just ignore her.

Hey Speckla - did you ever find a method that works for you? I'm having trouble too!!

Here I am at only 34 years old and I swear I'm every bit of 75% gray! The only spots that refuse to hold the dye are my temples/hairline. Everywhere else is good. I just bought some dye today to do my roots with again, and I'm hoping you found something good to enlighten me with before I open the box!

I have never done an ACV or anything... and I'm wondering if that would help before I did the deed?
