Naturcolor

Anyone used this hair dye? Did you shampoo and condish with the stuff they provided? I can't find any ingredients list on them and I don't wanna ruin all my hard CG work. Should I use it this one time? Do I have to use a poo after dying? I've been completely poo-less. Any advice would help...

I've never heard of them or used them. But, I've been using NaturTint (which I get at Whole Foods) for three years now, and haven't had a single problem. For whatever reason, NaturTint doesn't have a website for you to compare the two, but Naturcolor seems very similar in "concept" to NaturTint.

Since I've only gone CG recently, I have colored my hair with NaturTint, and used their provided conditioner after checking the ingredient list. All safe, no 'cones or SLS. It's very strange that Naturcolor doesn't have an ingredient list, but if you can find them in a health food store or Whole Foods, you can check the box, which is what I did with NaturTint.

There's also another natural brand called HerbaTint, also sold in health food stores. I've never used them, as their color involves a couple more steps and I'm lazy, LOL!

Sorry this doesn't help much. I'd guess that Naturcolor is probably very similar to NaturTint and Herbatint. But if you can't find an ingredient list for Naturcolor, those other two brands are VERY easy to find if you decide to try one of them instead. Good luck!

BUMP -

Jess, I was at Whole Foods last night, and took a quick scoot down the hair products aisle, where I saw Naturcolor, so they do carry a very wide selection of shades there. Sorry, I didn't stop to look at the ingredients since I had to get home, but it was on the same big shelf as NaturTint and Herbatint, so again, my guess would be they're all about the same, and it seems like it's probably just a matter of choice.

There was ingredients for the dye, just not the rinse and condish that came with it. I used them all and it turned out GREAT. I mixed their condish with my own as there wasn't enough for all my hair. I'll def use it again. Lisa thanks for the replies.

Yaay! Glad it worked out for you. Color can be such a dicey thing, you never know how it's going to turn out, if it's harming your hair or your skin, etc. It's nice to hear that quite a few of these all-natural brands really work!

I'm dealing with gray. Anyone know a more healthy alternative to getting rid of stubborn greys? I have used store bought brands for so long and they really damage my hair. I don't know if anyone else here has stubborn greys, but I am looking for a gentler hair color to help get rid of them.

Well, you're in the right thread! Just take a look at the brands we've been discussing here. I can tell you that NaturTint has been very gentle and fabulous at covering the grays for me.

I ordered some Naturtint. Wish me luck.

I saw this thread is a little bit old, but I wanted to add my 2 cents nonetheless. I've been using Naturcolor for a couple of years now and love it! Naturcolor is more natural than Naturtint and from what people that have used both (I haven't) Naturtint is also a bit harsher (but covers really stubborn grays better).

The colors are much more natural than commercial equivalents (LÓreal and such) and it leaves your hair as if you had conditioned it (instead of like straw...). I have blonde hair and combine 2 parts of 8N (to cover grays) with 1 part 10R.

Good luck!
