DMV all day! :-) A meet up sounds fun! I'm in Texas right now (TDY for the Air Force) but will be home next week for good :-)

I guess i can take the initiative to get this meet up to happen.

I guess we should figure out a venue? Anyone has any suggests of places they like. Preferably a place that is reasonably priced, maybe have a happy hour. And it should be assessable to the metro to make it convient for everyone. I really like the Madhatter, but i'm sure one of you ladies may have a better suggestion

I'm down for a meetup...but please remember that if CurlyNikki comes...its going to blow UP. It will not be an intimate event...it will be about 1500 naturals from all over the DMV. Not saying that something like that won't be cool either...but you might want to keep that in mind when picking a venue and sending an invite to her.

Good point. Maybe we should keep this one smaller, then see if next time we can have a huge extravanganza. this weekend i will look at venues. then we can all decide where we would like to go.

I'd still send her a note and see when/ if she's interested in doing something so that the local NC.com folks are in the mix. I know she usually has a corporate sponsor for her events who are better able to secure larger venues and such. I know she has been talking about coming to DC to do a meet-up so who knows... I'm all for getting jazzy for 1500 chicks and showing off my fly hair...lol.

i have been slacking on looking for a venue to have our get together.

I'm going to get try to get on it this week. I'm really looking forward to hanging with my curlies.

I agree w/some of the other ladies that maybe it would be nice to keep this one to more of an intimate meet up. I'm all for a big get together but not having to fight to get into a spot that was initially meant to be a low key get together you know?

Either way I'm still down for it and very excited!

so i have been looking at some places. i think i could narrow the playing field if i could get a ball park of how many will be joining the shindig.

I found some places that can accomidate smaller groups. And other that can accomidate bigger groups, but need reservation a bit in advance. so if its going to be a few of us many say 5-10, we could go to a smaller place and wont have to worry about making reservation weeks in advance, just maybe the day before.

ok so we have a few interested curlies! YAY!! I'm going to pick a date that is convient for everyone. After thanksgiving, before christmas! MAybe the second week in december

Also any one have preference for anything? food, drinks, locations? we can also go one place for food and another place for drinks. but most dc location offer both.

Lauriol Plaza Restaurant – the Best Mexican Food in Washington DC!

option 3: never been, really want to go. heard it was groovy. this is the place for vodka!
