Why buy from CurlMart?
I am wondering, what is the reasoning for using CurlMart over buying direct from the Brand website?
The prices seem to be the same at CurlMart as they are on the Brand sites.
CurlMart doesn't offer free shipping until you reach $60. I don't think I've ever spent over $60 on hair products at one time, so there is no benefit there.
If I buy something from a brand site (such as Jessicurl) there is often a free sample included, and I love to try new things if they are free!
Am I missing something? I fail to see the benefit of using CurlMart to purchase products.
Perhaps some of you lovely PJ's can enlighten me to the reasoning behind buying from CurlMart.

The reason I used curlmart was because they have several different brands on one site which saved me from paying seperate shipping costs. Curlmart also has free samples with every order. You can also always find a sale going on

I used curlmart once. Customer service was great and I like the variety but their shipping is high as heck! I would rathe order directly from the brand. I was gng to order during their Grey Friday sale which was 25% off, but the shipping was more than what the discount took off! To be honest, I get everything I need from the swap boards lol.

Yeah shipping is ridiculous. I just wait until the big holiday sales are going on and order from various brands. I usually get free shipping and a discount.

Like some people have said, I only use curlmart to buy products from various brands. If I'm only interested in buying products from one particular brand, then I will buy it from the original vendor. I also use curlmart if other sites have ran out of a particular product.

Agreed! I've only used Curlmart once or twice over the years. The shipping is unacceptable even with discounts! I just recently bought something from the vendor's website because even with 25% off from Curlmart the shipping was so expensive it still came out to more than the vendor.
They should consider shipping by weight for one or smaller items versus $9.00+ flat rates. I think if you're ordering lots of products from different vendors it may not be so bad but for one item....uhm, no. Why would I pay $9.00 to ship something I that only costs $8.00?
Also, free shipping should be offered for orders $25.00 and up.
It's a good thing buyers have options now such as Sagenaturalceuticals and AveYou who offer much better shipping rates and a decent selection of vendors.

I've used it in the past because a lot of the brand websites don't ship overseas so I have limited options. That said, I've stopped getting stuff from there as the shipping is, unfortunately, out of my comfort zone!
I can buy some things I like from iherb where shipping is $4 up to a certain weight (can't remember the weight but I can get three or four bottles generally) so I don't understand why other places can't do that. I'm guessing there's some reason but who knows?

This is my first time here, so I have yet to further explore. However, I've been learning lately that in general when making purchases you sometimes only get what you pay for, and sometimes not even that! I say choose wisely, and sometimes buying too cheap is not worth it.

I guess I'm in the minority here. I like Curlmart and always get free shipping. I order the same 2 items regularly costing $60 free ship.
The products are the same price and zero shipping.
I can order both products from the same site (no separate shipping cost from CHS and Curl Junkie)
CurlMart works for me and they always include 2 free samples with every order!!

Hi Wavy7,
As jmitchell and IamDonna pointed out, the benefit to ordering from CurlMart is one-stop shopping and hand-picked samples! Our clerks work hard to match the samples in your order to your hair type, so you shouldn't be getting something you can't use. At CurlMart, you can bundle various products and avoid paying multiple shipping charges.
We've always worked to be a good place to find up-and-coming and hard-to-find products, and we're working on bringing 5 new brands (can't yet tell everyone what they are, sorry!) into CurlMart, so keep checking back in the coming months.
As far as shipping costs go, we aren't using shipping as a revenue stream, but we also haven't found a safe, reliable, and low-cost method of moving small or single products. I know the shipping charges are high, but we don't do the volume of shipping to qualify for discounts like some larger companies you may know. Our shipping costs are calculated by weight of the products ordered, so if you're only buying one product, you're seeing what it costs us to ship that single product with UPS.
Thanks so much for your posts and feedback, have a great day!
