being TOO thin is NOT attractive

I had boys telling me how pretty I would be if I gained weight.

I use to be very very skinny. I hated it. would go on get fat diets. where I would fill up on icecream , and eat late at night on purpose. I was serioulsy underweight for my height and age. I thinhk I just had a high metabolism. I couldn't help the way I was. and people use to make fun of me all the time for it. saying I look sickly.

My point is that some people are just naturally skinny, have high metabollism.

As I got older though I started gaining weight.oh how I wish I was skinny again. not as skinny as I was before but at least 10lbs lighter than I am now.
i used to be super skinny up until a few years ago and you wouldnt believe how many men told me taht i had the perfect body. its sad. and by super skinny i mean im 5'7" and in my senior year of high school and freshman year of college i was 107-110 lbs. and now that ive gained weight, im about 140 lbs now, ive actually gotten comments (from men), saying how i need to tone up".

im working on losing some weight now, 10 lbs would be great, 15 would be ever better.

but my overall point is, if its not your body keep your mouth shut. you never know how someone will react to your comments, even if it is merely out of concern. and their reaction could be negative.
5'7 135 lbs here. I weighed 130 a few years ago and had plenty people call me too skinny. My ribs still show some. I couldn't imagine weighing 110, or even 120, I would be skeletal.

But hey, I am preggers now. Having this growing belly is too much fun! I am hoping to make a net gain of 8-10 pounds after it is all said and done.

Have you ever just thought this way maybe shes just thin, cause i agree with the other post if she was 30 or 40lbs over weight then youd probally say she was fat and looked bad and was over weight. Just because shes thin dosen not mean she has and eating disorder, i knew alot of people like that who ate that was healthy. Just cant suit some people

Its a shame that its almost OK for people to insult slim girls for looking unattractive, esp since it always seems like a backlash from people trying to loose weight. It works both ways. Both gaining and loosing weight is very very difficult. Neither being fat or thin is 'correct'.

I've successfully gained a bit of weight recently, but I am still very aware of how skinny I am in comparison to other people.

a guy i was dating made some comments about my weight....(i lost some)...it really hurt my feelings. at one point he told me i was "one pancake away from 175 lbs" he used to seem fixated on my weight (always asking me how much i weight and stuff like that) but apparently he liked the larger me. i wasn't 175 (but close enough to where him saying that seemed inappropriate)....

well i got into the 150's and he started saying rude stuff....like how i had no butt, etc. i'm sorry but to me when you lose weight (assuming you're working out)....you keep your general shape but there's just less there....i'm much happier w/ the new me (i'm currently 14....my goal was to be 138-142 (i'm 5'9") but if i'm 140-145 and tone i think i'll be happy.....
