I feel your pain! You say artificial sweeteners are not an option, but maybe you can adapt this somehow... I've found that a container of 0% fat greek yogurt (the real stuff - seems everyone is producing "greek" yogurt now but it's not the real deal) mixed with sweetener and some low glycemic fruit (blueberries are good now in my area) is HUGELY satisfying. It's so rich it tastes like full-fat sour cream, but it's low(er) carb, calorie, and of course no fat.
I'm one who not only has sugar cravings, but also this bizarre, unrelenting craving to just eat-eat-eat until I'm over-full. No matter if I've already eaten and am full. Am slowly winning the battle over that, except for right before bed.
