Default When are you hungry?

It's quite appropriate that I'm posting this now at around 10:20 am.. I usually get hungry at this time and again around 5 pm. I don't wake up hungry anymore like I used to a few years ago. I could very happily eat just twice a day, at 10am and 5pm, and be good for the rest of the day (well, evening).

However when I work out (which these days is at 5am) I get hungry a little earlier, and tend to want to eat more during the day time.

What about you all? When do you get hungry and does this affect when you exercise?

Late morning and afternoon, generally (9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.) I work out close to noon, although I used to do well working out at night.

Does this relate to circadian rhythms, do you think? I know I also go to bed much earlier in the winter, as well.

I'm normally only hungry around noon, and 5, only because my work schedule has conditioned me to feel that way I think.

I used to work out very early moring (4:30ish) and found that I was starving most of the day. Now I try to work out around 6:00pm, so that I'm not ravenous all day long.

I'm not sure.. I think just getting older (late 30s now) has changed my metabolic needs and my sleep pattern as well. I still have days where I just want to pig out, but they are few and far between. I'm going to bed earlier all year round. As late as last year, I used to go to sleep at midnight or 1am and now I can barely keep my eyes open til 11:00 or 11:30. However, I'm able to wake up much earlier nowadays.

Spaghettihead, I get the same thing by working out early in the AM, but I don't have any other time where I can do it.

I find that a hard workout leaves me ravenous for the rest of the day. I don't know what to eat to satisfy that hunger; protein doesn't seem to do it.

usually around 11:30-11:45 (am) and then sometime around 5:00 (pm)

ETA: Ninj, I've noticed the same thing...sometimes it even carries over to the next day! I just eat everything in sight!

Well I did my workout this morning after a rest day, and after that I made a high protein breakfast of eggs and meat balls. I think I'll be okay til lunch at least.
