I can't wait to actually get there, but I'm scared of level 2. I definitely want to make sure I'm comfortable with level 1.
Its been 7 full days, as of today.

You're doing great! As much as I wanted to move on to level 2, I don't think I was mentally prepared until day 8 or 9 of level 1. For me, it was all mental. Honestly, level 2 is tougher, but completing level 1 is a solid foundation since many of the new moves are built on the strength you've already acquired. You can do this!
I also knew I was ready to move to level 2 when I found myself, several times a day, humming the music in the 3rd circuit!

Haha, ya, I'm definitely feeling better endurance. I'm onto mimicking Jillian. Although I'm just at the point where I'm not feeling extreme pain the day after, so I'll give it a few more
My favorite is 'why do we have to do biceps and legs, can't we just work biceps - no you can not.'

She always seems to mention something as I'm thinking it "You can't do a 20 minute workout and get to take a break..."
She's reading my mind from the DVD player. Told y'all she was evil.

The amount of time from slipping on the peel and landing on the pavement is exactly one bananosecond.

I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

What weights are you guys using?
I was modifying the exercises to use my 5 lb weight ball in both hands.
I just picked up handweights I saw at Job Lot, but they're 2lbs a piece. I feel a little silly BC they're so tiny, but I think 5lbs would kill my arms.
They only had 1, 2, and 5lbs.
By the way, I hate anything with a lunge. Hate lunges. Lunges suck. The cellulite on the backs of my thighs better disappear.
I'm also counting on losing my sandbag stomach, and the strange extra boob behind my armpit.

I still remember the trauma like it was yesterday...
The first time around I did the shred I used 5lb weights my first day because silly me thought "Oh, well that's what I've been using to do a few arm exercises with, they should be fine." WRONG I was so damn miserable and I couldn't even get through the whole thing with them. And the soreness, OH the soreness!
I'm using 2lb weights now. I have some 3lb I may switch to at some point, right now they're doorstops upstairs.

There's no way I could do that anterior-arm-raise-side-lunge (grrr, lunges) with 5lb weights.

Jillian says this in level 2 during one of the cardio circuits:
"I want you to be gargling your heart when you're through with this cardio!"
LOL!!!
I've been using 3 pounds in each hand, which did seem a little silly at first because I was use to doing bicep curls with 8 lb. weights in each hand. Let me tell you, 3 pounds is plenty in this workout! So much so, that by the last rep, my arms want to fall off. I can already see definition in my arms and shoulders, so it seems to be working.

Yay for all of us!
I don't know who said they did non-girlie push ups the other day, but, wow. Great job. That's a big deal!

I'm so glad we're doing this together, I'm really surprised how motivated it has me!
Mr. Spring sent me this today. Not sure if I want to slap him or smooch him. Possibly both.

I find it motivating too.
I'm already noticing my waist shrinking. Not a lot, and not flatter yet, but I can see it just starting to narrow.
Today will be day 10.

iroc, so glad you're seeing results!! That definitely helps push you along.
Today was rough, for some reason. I'm just having one of those days, I guess. I pushed through and got it done though and thankfully it has cooled off here so it's nice and cool inside which was a big help. For a split few seconds I thought about not doing it, but I'm really glad I didn't give in to that little voice.
So glad it's Friday.

Mr. Spring needs to go into business as a motivational coach!
Iroc - It's amazing isn't it, how quickly you start seeing results? It is definitely a motivator to keep going!
Today was L2D6. Yay! Today was also weigh-in day. No Yay! The scale read 142, so I gained 1.2 lbs. I'm really not that bothered by the number because I feel so much better and I'm seeing more definition all over my body. I was even able to fasten my bra on the 1st row of hooks, so something is happening!
I did a step & tone workout this afternoon. I've had much more energy today after only adding 10 more grams/day of carbs. I also got a heart rate monitor watch at my local sports store. I was wondering whether or not my online fitness tracker was accurately estimating my calories burned during exercise. It calculated my step workout almost exactly as I had been logging it, only a 3 calorie difference, so that's good. I'll be wearing it tomorrow for The Shred to see whether that one is accurate as well.
I seem to be doing everything I'm supposed to do to lose weight and it's bound to start happening soon. Right?!?

That's good!
I thought I wasn't going to have time to do it today and I was freaking out. I was like, no, I HAVE TO!

I swear it seems I hear most people say they gain a little before they start losing. You (SC), me and Mr. Spring all have this going on....it can't be coincidence!
Just chant to yourself "I'm building muscle, I'm building muscle", right?

SC, how tall are you? We weigh the same - you're probably taller, but interesting we're the same lbs.

You're right, Spring1onu. I was prepared to put on a couple before I started losing. And I know I'm building muscle. I can see it in my arms, legs, and glutes. One of these days, somethings gotta give!
Iroc, I'm 5'3.5". How tall are you?

Umm...glad I could help?!
Day 7 in the bag! I'm still collapsing in a pool of sweat at the end of the workout, but I can feel myself getting stronger. My HRM was fairly accurate, but I messed up entering my resting heart rate correctly this morning. The watch is new, it was dark when I woke up, and I finally got up and walked into the bathroom so I wouldn't disturb my sleeping husband. I'm going to try and re-enter it correctly tomorrow.
This afternoon, I did Jillian's Banish Fat Boost Metabolism dvd. OMG! What a killer workout. 55 minutes of pure kickass cardio. My HRM confirmed that I was really working and I burned many more calories than my other afternoon routines. This one is definitely in the permanent rotation!
Spring, I swear I ignited my fat-burning potential! LOL

LOL. I just meant its nice to hear of someone else at my same weight/size.
I made boyfriend do Jillian with me today (that sounds off, I know). He's a fairly fit guy, hasn't been doing as much as usual lately, but still works out a few times a week. He was not saying nice things to her by the end.
