I've decided that I'll never get down to my original weight, and I'm OK with that--After all, 8 pounds 2 oz. is just not realistic.

No shred today, but, I did some AB work, push ups, core stretching, and we went kayaking.
I think I'm good for exercise today.

I just did the shred twice in a row. Seriously.
I was almost done with the first one and the boyfriend walked in and said 'hey, I thought you were gonna wait for me.' so I went through and did it again.

Today was the first time I used the shred and after 5 min i was already starting to sweat. I was using her banish fat. I think I'm going to rotate between the two.
I have 20lbs to drop. At least 10lbs by Aug 18th for vacation

iroc, you're a maniac.
Welcome, bellavida!
So I did the treadmill today and I think I am losing. my. mind. I did a whole hour (y'all just don't even know, at my normal 30 minutes I'm DONE), I jogged/ran some and when I was done I did some exercises and some weight stuff. The music really is helping me go longer. I'm proud of myself for it because when I initially started I wasn't feeling all that great and thought I'd just do my 30 minutes and quit.
Also, I know this might sound silly, but sometimes when I'm walking there is this girl (I think it's a girl) that rollerblades a loop around the park near my house and watching her come around really was motivating me (my treadmill is upstairs where I can look out the window). She's having such a great time and mercy, it looks like so much work, but she's sassy and I enjoyed watching her cruise around the corner at the intersection. I can only see her for a minute, but it was some good motivation.

Springy, I don't know what you're listening to, but Pandora hip hop workout mix station is awesome for the treadmill.

Ya, I think if I can do level 1, twice, I could probably move on to level 2.
I think by Wednesday for sure. That'll be a full 2 weeks.

The hip hop workout mix plays a lot of older hip hop too, so its fun.

You all inspired me to pull my shred DVD out and give it a go again.
Today was day 1 and I wanted to stop before the first circuit was over but I finished it up. I did take a few too many breaks (that may have been a bit too long as well). But I did it.
I plan to go slow this time and alternate it with another simple exercise plan I found online. I anticipate doing the shred about 3 times a week. I've never gone past level 1 and have never completed more than about 15/16 days.

goldy, I think it's totally fine to take breaks when you're first starting out on it. Her advice is great, but it's not the be all and end all. I knew I had to take breaks if I ever wanted to continue doing it and even though I'm only doing it twice a week, I'm already noticing it being a little bit easier. So glad you're joining!
I did it today and I'm having some *ahem* female issues that are quite uncomfortable and was totally prepared to use that an excuse to not do it, but it wasn't bad as I thought it would be. I'm noticing I can get through more of the cardio without wanting to pass out. Progress!

Okay, so I've done the shred every single day for 12 days (minus my kayaking day). And twice yesterday. I'm bleeding like the shower scene in Psycho today and my knees hurt from my double dose of Jillian yesterday. I went for a short walk today, and did some arm toning, but I'm feeling SO guilty about not doing it today.

Level 2 sucks balls. I'll admit, I didn't make it all the way through without stopping a second here and there.
I also think I broke my bra and may have pulled a groin muscle.

It took at lot of motivation to work out today but i did it. So day 2 is scratch off.
Do I have to work out day after day to get the same affect? U have class Tuesday and Thursday evenings and don't think I can work in a work out those days.
