Default Fast Metabolism Diet

Has anyone tried this? If so what were your results. I have an extremely slow metabolism. I actually have all symptoms if hypothyroid except when my thyroid levels are tested they look fine. Along with all the hypothyroid symptoms I don't sweat unless its on the nineties and even then I don't sweat much. I have trouble with exercise as in it just wears me out. I did push myself a few years ago to do a spinning class for almost a year. I lost two pounds and wore myself out. I just can't seem to lose weight but I can surely gain it. Occasionally it seems that my metabolism "turns on" and all of my hypo symptoms go away, I have energy and I sweat. But it only lasts about a week then I'm back to the hypo symptoms.

So normally I don't diet. I just try to eat healthy. But this diet interested me because she talks about the diet resetting the balance between your pituitary, thyroid and adrenals. Which I do believe something in that area is dysfunctional for me.

With that I'm interested if anyone has tried this and what are your thoughts on it?

I didn't do it as a "diet", but I just started including a lot of the foods and green tea in my daily meals. I felt a lot better and wasn't as bloated all the time. I lost 3lbs, but then somehow I got off track, but have stayed the same.

I just ordered this from Amazon as an audio book. My metabolism is beyond slow...it's like in a coma.

Thank you for this! I'm going to order this. My daughter works out every single day often twice a day (cardio and abs) for at least 2 hours plus she eats healthy foods (nothing processed, no baked goods, sweets, low salt, no sugar, etc) with lots of fruits, veges and lean meats but in four months at that pace has only lost five pounds. It's hard to keep her motivated when she's not really seeing the fruits of her labor.

Eta: I should say low sugar since she does eat fruit.

Does your daughter do all over weights 2-3 times a week?

If you don't do enough resistance exercise you aren't going to lose fat.

If she did a proper weights session every other day I swear she would see results in 6 weeks and wouldn't be muscley.

She's very strong but she's only 11 so her trainer won't let her do weight training until high school. She does everything else but too young for weight training.

I should also mention she was a typical kid until she had a T and A at a young age. Her weight skyrocketed after that irrespective of how hard she worked out or what she ate. It's been tough for her.

She's 1 and works out for 2+ hrs a day, 7 days a week? That seems a lot. (She would have to cut back a lot on this diet.) How much weight is she trying to lose? I hope she's not not doing those kinds of work outs on an empty stomach. Plz report back and let us know how she's doing.

She's 11 lol. She works out every day but Fridays (right now). She plays competitive sports so some of her workout is practice. But, she needs to lose about 30 pounds but I only want her to lose about 10 for now and maintain as she continues to grow taller. But, she's my height already so I don't know how much taller she will be. Her trainers all say she shouldn't weight train until she's in high school and I agree.

Eta: I prepare dinner every night, the night before. She eats before 5:30p, works out beginning at 6:30p and has a snack (fruit) at night around 9:00p. I weighed her yesterday and she had lost 6 pounds since she started this particular routine 4 months ago or so. This is the first I've seen real weight loss!

Are you sure she's taking in enough calories? It sounds like she has an already amazingly healthy diet. You need to keep the body going with the appropriate amount of calories for her activity level. If she's eating too little, it could hurt her weight loss.
