Hot yoga, damaging to hair?

I started going to hot yoga a few months ago, and I LOVE it, but came across several blog posts where women claimed the heat damaged their hair (they thought). I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced that?

I haven't noticed a significant change in my hair, but I'm not going every day, 2 or 3 times a week at best. I plan on going regularly for the foreseeable future though and don't want create more frizz or damage. Can't imagine what the effects might be once winter rolls around... I read that some women apply coconut oil to their hair before class to act as a preventative/hot oil treatment, which sounds interesting. The temperature is about ~100 degrees F, so coconut oil/some kind of conditioning couldn't hurt right? Thoughts?
