Cellulite!

I've noticed some cellulite around my upper thighs, and it is upsetting. Would cardio exercise help me get rid of it, or should I do weight training (squats, etc.), or both cardio and weights?
you must burn fat to reduce/eliminate cellulite. also you should drinks lots of water and i honestly believe good, deep massages can break up the fat also. the one thing that i did that unequivocally got rid of my cellulite (which i believe is a function of genetics, body fat and our processed diets) was doing a 10 day fast called the master cleaner fast (very talked about on the internet)....anyway i've done the fast 4 times and each time any cellulite disappears....i actually never really returned like it was before the first time i did the fast but because i got sloppy w/ my diet or owrking out a little did return and the fast wipes it out right away......it's tough but if you want to kick start you body into burning fat look into it.

I've been wanting to do the master cleanse fast for a while now. It just seems SO demanding. Is it absolutely necessary that you take the laxatives along with it? That creeps me out a little. What if it takes effect while you're at work?? Did you do it for the full 10 days? How much weight did you actually lose while you were on it?

i'm actually doing it again right now but this time only for 7 days. in the past (i've done it 3 other times)...i did it for a total of 10 days w/ excellent results. it is very demanding but it works. the weight slowly crept back after the first time but by the 3rd time i knew i wanted a serious change and i kicked up my workouts and have maintained my workouts so the weight did not come back at all and i've even lost weight. in fact my mother asked me why i was even doing it again this time (i'm doing it for detox only - hence fewer days).

now.....i've found that the laxative tea/sea salt combo is too much to do daily! i did it just as indicated the first time and got awful cramping....the last few times i did the sea salt every few days but did the tea every night. this time i have done the tea every night so far (but i'm only going to do it every other night) and i have not done the sea salt. the thing is....if you drink the tea at night (say around 9-10) and do the water & sea salt in the morning...YOU WILL GO WITHIN AN HOUR OR SO!!! but after that you're pretty much home free....so far i've lost 3.5-4 lbs (but again i'm not doing it purely for weight loss this time....i'm detoxing from a couple of weeks of not great eating and lots or sugar/cafienne)...the mc is very effective at "breaking" your cravings and i felt that could be accomplished in 7 days and i didn't need to go the full 10 because i am working out and i really don't want to drop too much weight. i am happy though to have crossed on the other side of 150 lbs....i haven't seen 140-something for several years!!! (i'm 5'9").

anyway i hope that helps you....if you have any other mc fast questions let me know....since this is my 4th time doing it i feel like i'm a mini-expert....and back to the original point it melts cellulite big time especially when you workout too....cellulite is really an internal thing so this hits it like no cream or gel ever could. my cellulite has never really returned even when i gained a bit of the initial weight loss back. oh and finally i've loss on avg 10-12 lbs doing the fast and like i said the 3rd time i did it (we were having a weight loss competition at work) i not only lost the weight but i kept it off and loss a few more...even if you decide not to do the mc fast i think periodic fast is good for the digestive system and to break cravings and sort of start w/ a clean slate.

Okay, so I've decided to actually do the master cleanse. I just have one more question about it. It says you're supposed to drink the lemonade every 1-2 hours, but you can't make a bunch of the mix in the morning for the whole day. If everything has to be made fresh, how can you make and drink it every hour while you're at work? This is the only part of the cleanse I can see being really difficult. Thanks for all your advice.

what works for me is to make the "concentrate" lemon juice, maple & cayenne and just add that to water when i want a glass. don't feel like you have to drink every 1-2 hours. drink when you fell hungry/thirsty (i don't even really ydrink plain water during this time....just the lemonade and green tea to mix it up.

let me know when you're going to do it so i can provide you some encouragement. by the way, day 3 is one of the hardest....really plan out when you're going to do it and what days you start and finish.

I really interested in this cause of the "C" factor.
I work two jobs..so I have to be alert...I'm going to the grocery store today to pick up the ingrediants. Can I use bottled Lemon Juice?
And can I use the Sea Salt from the grocery store? I shouldn't eat anything, just drink the MC for the 7-10 days. I've been dealing with cellulite since I was 16 now I'm 36 I would love to wear shorts... .

buy fresh lemons....the other i've heard is not the same...buy fresh lemons and limes and a little handheld juicer and you'll be better off

just DRINK no food....i guarantee you will not die and you can be alert. drink as much as you want!!! the biggest hurdle is mental....don't even start obsessing about "not eating" or you won't make it....think of it this way....you can do ANYTHING for 10 days....especially for your overall health. it's a good time to get in some solitude and personal time...don't surround yourself w/ sights and sounds that keep you thinking about food or you won't make it.

you need uniodized sea salt...i'm not sure why the uniodized part (it may effect how you have movements)....i just know most salt that we commonly buy is iodized and i followed the requirements to a t at first. they both cost about the same....super cheap and will last a long time.

I'm going to tried this over the weekend. I work 12 hour shift on both Saturday and Sunday. It's an easy gig. Just watching my post. I want to get rid of the cellulite that's been with me since I was 16 . I never worn shorts outside because of it. People say I have a decent shape, but I don't dress sexy like I really want to (classy&sexy). Thanks again...heading to the grocery store tonite.

I mixed the sea salt with water and drank that on an empty stomach first thing in the morning....heard the expression p!$$!^@ like a racehorse...try crapping like one?!! Whoa!!
I thought it would never stop and I had to work too. I survived, otherwise I wouldn't be typing here. I had to give it up, but will definately try again when I have workleave time, cause I'm going to have to be home to do this correctly.
LML:How did you manage?? And can you use black strap molasses instead of maple syrup?

I just started the Master Cleanse today. I've done it once before and I would do the salt water flush in the evening. I stop drinking my lemonade around 3 or 4 and then drink the salt water around 6 or 7. That gives me three hours of no lemonade so it's almost like waking up with an empty stomach. I also like doing it this way because the salt water really fills you up and helps you get through dinner time. Since I was doing the salt water in the evening I would drink the laxative tea around lunch time. I plan on doing it this way for the cleanse I'm doing now also.
How is everyone doing with this?

joy2bnappy the maple tastes 1000 times better than the molasses!! if there's a whole foods or something near you buy it in bulk....that's the best way to go.....

well let me know if you need any advice/guidance and i like the idea of the other poster to do what works best w/ your time/work schedule - the fast is not an exact science...

who needs a colonic when you have sea salt & water!!

i'm still amazed at how well this works....just have to drink the lemonade and water because i believe that kind of flushing is bound to cause dehydration if it's not balanced...
