Default Running shorts that don't creep up?

I usually wear bicycle shorts because they don't ride up. However, I tried some "splits" and they are more comfortable and cooler, except for riding up. I read longer shorts are the way to go, now I wonder if shorter is better. Anybody have a favorite pair?

Instead of a pair of splits, I'd suggest trying any brand in a V-notch style instead. Those ones typically have a much longer inseam. In fact, Road Runner Sports (one of the best websites out there for running gear! They have the BEST customer service!), makes a V-notch style that has a full 4" inseam. That's quite long and is likely not to creep up. In my experience, the splits have a much shorter inseam, usually 11/2 - 2".

Me, I'm so tiny that I have the opposite problem--all running shorts come practically to my knees, despite the inseam length. If I could just find some in girls' large sizes!!
