FINALLY got back into the gym today after a month. didn't do much, just 25 mins on the elliptical using the interval setting, plus 5mins each for warm up and cool down.

i need to get my diet back together though, b/c i've lost over 20 lbs w/o exercising or eating well (i've been in a funk lately), so i know i'm not getting enough calories ( i lost like 20 lbs b/w mid sept and now... i lost like 5 in a ,month when i was eating properly and exercising)

Once again, I've switched things up. Aren't y'all tired of hearing that? 2 days of rest in between my runs wasn't helping my hip at.all., so I decided to run more often (@ 5 days/wk) but less distance each time. This has worked out the best so far. My hip really feels better. I'm only running 1.5-2 miles a day, but I feel so much better. I feel more "balanced' when I run now...does that make sense? It's amazing what a little less pain can do for you. I plan on upping my distance very gradually. I'm also keeping up with the bike, leg presses and a little strength training with the resistance bands.

Life is good...

W1D3 done. I had to take a few days off because I had a nasty cold. I'm still not 100% well but it was time to get out there and run!

FAST paced 45 min walk

It helps working out when you are in a bad mood.

I ran 3 miles yesterday. I've done that before, but only a couple of times, so....yay me!!! I don't expect that will be my everyday run, but I am trying to do one longer run on the weekends and hope that in the future it will become my everyday run!

W2D2 yesterday. I ran out of daylight so I had to attempt to run on the treadmill at the gym. Boy did that suck!

Had my best run ever yesterday...4 miles!!! ...AND my hip didn't hurt at.all.
Hubs picked up our new treadmill on Saturday and I LOVE it! ....so much better than the 15 yr. old one we were using. I'm hoping this will be the beginning of a beautiful relationship!

I'm in the middle of week 4 of c25k. In fact, I was at the track today bright and early and it was only 27F out. Brrrrrr. I warmed up after the first couple of running intervals.

I ran 4 miles today...only the 2nd time I've ever done that, so that's good. But it's still soooo hard. Is it EVER going to get easier? I know I've only been at it for not quite 5 months, but c'mon! It's such a struggle, especially the first couple of miles. If I make that, I can usually go a little farther. You'd think the beginning of the run would be easier, but nooooo....it's complete torture!

I'm trying to get back on track with my fitness and eating right. I work 3rd shift though so it's hard. Plus staying away from fast food with my fiance is pretty impossible. When I go to the gym (when I'm not too sleepy), I usually do some stationary rowing and walk on the treadmill inclined for 30 minutes. I just need to work on my eating... and bad..
