Ashamed to admit that I haven't posted in this thread in close to 3 years, and haven't had a consistent workout regimen in almost as much time.
But here I am, trying to get back on the consistency bandwagon.
Started the C25K program this week; today was day 2. Thank God my lungs aren't on fire like they were on Tuesday.

40 mins of Zumba Fitness on the Wii.
It's actually a pretty decent workout (in my opinion). It's definitely enough to get me in the weight-loss region of heart rates but not high enough for the cardio region (I did the medium intensity workout today...there's one higher and one lower).
They try to throw in a lot of lunge type moves into the dance so that you are working some leg muscles.
The only thing I didn't enjoy was how much jumping around I had to do! Like literally jumping up in the air over and over again. I didn't think I'd need a sports bra just for dancing but I'll surely be wearing one tomorrow.

My motivation is loooowwww this week.
My 12 week "run a faster 5k" plan officially started yesterday with 8 miles, including 4 miles of speed interval work in the middle.
I realized that I'm running higher mileage this summer to train for a fast 5k than I did two years ago on a beginner marathon program. This boggles my mind.
4 VERY easy miles on tap this afternoon. I have to do more speed work tomorrow so today's miles have to be slow and relaxed. Stupid plan making me work hard. Grumble grumble

30 minutes on the bike. I was making all sorts of excuses to not go but did a deal that 30 mins is not that long and I'd feel good afterwards.

^^^ I bargain with myself like that all the time. If I didn't, I'd probably never do anything.

Hey everyone, I'm just starting to really get back into exercising after almost two months of very little workouts and I'm very excited to go through this thread since reading the posts make me feel lazy if I don't work out . Right now, I'm looking to lose about 5 pounds (10 at the most), but mostly tone up, which is why I will mostly be doing Bodyrock workouts (similar to Crossfit).
I do have a question I'm hoping someone can help me out with; I tend to almost always get exertion induced migraines after working out (last summer, i could workout everyday, but I was also taking Excedrine migraine everyday) and this can deter me from working out as often. Other than the conventional wisdom I've found online such as making sure to warm up slow, does anyone have any suggestions how to avoid these headaches?
