Been doing the same routine with so little variation, one day treadmill or elliptical and the alternating day weights. But... yesterday I got a call from my brother in Colorado wanting to know if I would be interested in running a 5K when I go visit in early October. It doesn't give me much time.
He can run 5K in 30 minutes. My mile permanently resides at 12m 30 sec but that is just one mile no more. I haven't run three miles in at least five years. Plus I am concerned about the altitude.
Does anybody have any suggestions? Should I be running every day now? Should I do more than 3 miles. Incline?
I did two miles in about 27 minutes today but that was with the intention of doing three.
