I can't remember what I did, I'm too tired!

Okay, yes I can. I'm tired *because* of what I did.

I did 70 minutes of yoga, la primary series, on Monday. Biked home from work Tuesday and today. I'm going to bike home again tomorrow, probably. Then I'll take Friday off. That's the plan, anyway.
Took the long route home from work on Thursday. I really need to plot those routes on mapmyrun so I can get the mileage. It's a buggy site, though, which keeps me from wanting to sit down and do it.

I did yoga on Friday, which was lovely. About 70 minutes. I have my period now, since late Saturday, so all I did was bike a very short distance today.
Still doing my yoga every day. I leave for the retreat on Sunday. I'm also doing my training to walk the Phila marathon in November. So far the training is real easy....'course I just started! 26.2 miles is a long way - even for walking!

I've been so lazy most of this year and need to get back to running again. I miss my 8 minutes miles, and I sure can't do it now!

Started C25K today. Will probably do each week twice. I'm in no hurry. Did about 20 push ups today just to do them. I like push ups.

Oh, yesterday I did a 2.5 mile hike with a 40 pound pack with some crazy Seabees. It actually felt good. Walking hills with a pack does get the heart rate up.

Today, week 1 day 2 of c25k and a Pilates On-demand program, about 12 minutes or so.

I really need to lose this crazy post break-up weight. Sheesh, it was in November. Starting back up this week motivated me to keep track of eating too.

Was 185 on Monday. 182 today. Would like to see 150-160. Sounds like a big number, but 150 looks skinny on me. Thank God for a stout physique.

Good for you, RCC! Just getting started towards a goal is a huge step. And to actually have a plan to achieve your goal is awesome. Just one day at a time...

Today was a rest day in the walking marathon program. Just did some yoga.

c25k w1d3. I put the tradmill on a little 1.0 grade, and that little bit made it more challenging, lol. I remember reading somewhere to put the treadmill on that grade to keep it closer to road work or something long those lines.

Did a bunch of pushups too. I just like doing them, and it is nice to do something I'm good at. Besides, when properly done, it is core work along with upper body work.

I hate the treadmill work while I'm doing it, and it doesn't help that the room has no AC. Ack. But, I feel really good when I'm done, and I feel pretty energized for a few hours afterwards.

I'll repeat week one next week. I'm in no rush, and I'd rather repeat than get discouraged and quit.

I went for a 10 minute run/10 minute walk on Tuesday, and did 70 minues of yoga on Wednesday. Since then I've been on deadline and haven't left the computer. Hopefully I'll be able to get in a run tonight or bike ride tomorrow.

Starting next week I can bike home from work every day, about 12-15 miles, depending which way I go. Looking forward to that!
Yesterday I did yoga and my marathon-training walk. Today is a rest day, but I'll still do yoga. Tomorrow I'll do my 3 mile walk and then a 5 hour car drive up to the Kripalu Center in MA for my 5 day yoga retreat. I'll still be able to get my training walks in up there since they have hiking trails - and I'll be getting in lots of yoga!

Didn't do a thing over the weekend.

2poodles, how was your retreat?

C25K W1D1. Redoing week 1. It wouldn't hurt, and I'm in no hurry.

180 today. Woohoo!

Ok, so I joined weekly classes at my gym, and I joined an all-female fitness group that a woman in my neighborhood has started. So Today:

Took a 15 minute walk to gym
Cycling is 45 minutes (just about)
Pilates is only half an hour
Emotional fitness & relaxing positions (some sort of yoga) is 45 minutes as well. Today was only 30 though.

I took a 15 minute walk back and stopped by my friends place to pick up the schedule for the fitness group. 5 minute walk to the drug store to get flaxseed, and my favourite fish oil mix. I also got a protein shake that I L O V E the taste of.

Also, I have been training through the week for a 5 km run throughout the town.

Back from Kripalu - LOVE that place!! I think everyone would love that place. Check it out at www.kripalu.org
I absolutely plan on going back - and taking my DH with me.

Walked home from work instead of taking the bus (1.3 miles).

This is something I've done more of this summer (weather permitting).

Last night I did my usual body step followed by body pump. I took a few days off last week for "mental health" as I was feeling burned out... so, I installed tile flooring instead of going to the gym.
Currently, using JC HCC, Too Shea, CK and CCSS, RR or LOOB or MOP-C.

Finished the 1st month of training for my 26.2 mile walking marathon. This week's "endurance" walk was only 4 miles. We actually walked more like 5 because of the loop in the park and getting back/forth to our car. We did about a 15 minute mile pace for the whole walk. My two toy poodles are good walkers, too! I don't think I'll take them for walks much longer than today's, though. They have tiny little legs - and are pretty tuckered right now!

Where have I been?!

I can't remember what I've been up to. Not exercising, I'll tell you that.

I was working too much. Then not, and I biked home from work one day, which ended up being something like 17 miles, a lot of it hilly. I went over lotsa bridges. I need a better bike map! Too many bridges and river valleys around this place, hard to navigate.

Anyway, that kinda did me in for that week. I was tired!

Then my niece came to visit, so we sat on our butts and watched PR Season One all week.

But last night I finally got back into things, did yoga for about an hour.

Something is up with my hip and leg. I think something's pressing down on a nerve. Not sure. Yoga really, really helped, so I'm going to focus on that for a bit.

2poodles, glad you liked Kripalu! Care to share a highlight of the experience?
wild~hair - Kripalu was fantastic. I was enrolled in a yoga for scoliosis clinic, so I had yoga clinic from 9:30a.m. - 12:30 and again from 2:45 - 5:15 p.m. each day. Those were led by an internationally known Iyengar senior instructor named Elise Browning Miller. She has scoliosis herself and has been teaching for more than 30 years and continues to go to India yearly to study with Iyengar. She also attends medical workshops related to scoliosis and is open to a variety of treatment modalities. In addition to those workshops, I took an intermediate Kripalu yoga class each morning from 6:30 - 7:15 a.m. In the evenings, there were different classes available, but I was usually too tired! One night I did attend a kirtan (chanting program) featuring Wah. That was amazing. It was held in the main hall - a former chapel with vaulted ceiling and high clerestory windows. During the chanting, a thunderstorm blew through. All of the lights were turned out in the main hall, leaving the stage lit by candles - and the occasional bolt of lightning. It was very dramatic!

The food was fantastic, too - lots of organic, whole foods; primarily gourmet vegetarian. The setting is also beautiful - in the Berkshires and located in a huge former Jesuit monastery. There were other programs going on at the same time. In fact, Shiva Rae was there leading a workshop for women and yoga. There was also one for parents/kids and another for teenage girls. And there was a lake and hiking trails, a labyrinth -- all sorts of things I didn't have a chance to explore. I am absolutely going back sometime!
