Yesterday I did the primary series.
Today I got my period and that means I do nothing.

Lots of gardening - 3 hours yesterday, 3 hours so far today. I plan on heading back out once it cools off a bit later today. Our garden is on tour in one week!

I'm back!
I was on vacation for a couple of weeks (I ran several times, but I tried to stay off of the computer as much as possible, so I didn't post). Yesterday I ran 4 miles. Tonight I plan to do some strength training. I am trying to scale back the runs this week because...
My 10k is this Saturday!!!!!!

My husband and I walked 10 miles yesterday in just under 2.5 hours - 4mph. It was stinking hot and humid, but we were done by 10 a.m., so at least we got off to an early start. This morning my hips are sore, so I'm off to do some yoga....

All I feel like doing today is eating lots of chocolate and not working out. Can I blame it on that "special time"?

I ALWAYS blame my special time if possible (for not wanting to exercise, eating excessive amounts of junk, and anything else I can get away with).
This week I am blaming being sick . I have a bit of sinus infection, and my throat and ears are all haywire. I haven't excercised at all since the 10k last Sat., but I hope to get back into it by tomorrow...

I did not feel like working out yesterday, but I did. Today I am still feeling tired, crampy and just kinda cantankerous. I'm not feeling working out, but who knows.....maybe I'll take a nap!

DH and I walked a half-marathon today - 13.1 miles!! We did it in just over 3 hours, so were walking at a good clip. It was so much easier than last Sunday when we walked 10 miles - the weather was so much better. I'm beginning to feel like we'll really complete the Philadelphia marathon in November with some time to spare....

Congrats 2poodles!!!! :bl ob7:
That is great and very inspiring. I want to one day participate in a marathon.
I am still in my post-10k/horrible cold/allergy/sinus infection slump, but I am getting back into it.
DH and I walked 4 miles Monday and 4 miles yesterday. I am planning to do some weight training tonight and start running with my running partner again tomorrow.

Hello!
I'm a n00b here, but I love my fitness and I'm just trying to get back into it after a few months of not really being consistent in the gym.
Sooooo today I have been to the gym this morning - did weights and some bike intervals. Tonight I'm teaching 2 martial arts classes and I will most probably potter about doing some more martial arts before or between classes or at least some stretching.

You're teaching martial arts? Whoa. I'm want to start exercising more because I spend to much time on the computer, plus we're hitting the holiday season and I want to be as healthy as possible. I like walking, so I'm going to see if I can't find a partner.

Bumping this old thread because my inner personal trainer has been AWOL since the New Year.
I have a sore ankle and a sore wrist, but dammit I'm gonna do yoga 4 days this week anyway. I'll just take it slow.
Oh, but I might go skating one day instead. Hopefully the ankle won't mind.
I wish I could run, but that I know the ankle won't abide.

I've been taking great yoga classes and indoor tennis lessons. Only got in 1 day of skiing this winter. And after walking the marathon in November, I haven't been doing much walking. I am eagerly anticipating spring - want to get back to gardening and walking outside again!!

Nice to see you're still at it, 2poodles!
It took me a couple days to get started — I got a doozy of a period late last week — but I've been keeping up with the yoga every day since Moday. I've committed to doing it 6 days this week, which'll make it more of a habit.
It's already paying off in spades with improvements to mood, sleep, feeling better about myself.
Keep it going!

Ain't that the truth! And that's why I keep going back to yoga when I slack off - after kicking myself for slacking off! I forget - what kind of yoga do you practice?

Well, I just got dealt a personal [relationship-type] blow today, so I am extra glad I am keeping up with this, or my mood would be .
I try to do ashtanga yoga, but I sprained my ankle a few weeks ago, so I'm modifying it. I do about 45 minutes of as much as I can of the primary series.
But I also mix it up sometimes by doing flow yoga with vinyasas, just whatever feels good. I actually need to go do yoga right now and I think I will do the flow kind, indulge myself a little.
What type do you do?

Keeping up with the yoga, 5/7 days so far this week. Tomorrow will be 6/7, my original goal.
