Exercise accountability thread

Last night I did 3 miles on the bike (somehow I can do a lot more on the bike than the treadmill) 10 curl reps, 20 push-ups (I stink at push-ups I was struggling more for those than doing anything else) 2 sets of 12 squat reps and 2 sets of 12 lunge reps.
Cleanser: Liquid Castile Soap diluted in a foaming soap dispenser
Rinse:
ACV rinse
Detangler/Conditioner:
Oyin Handmade Greg Juice or Juices and Berries
Stylers: Botticelli Botanicals Styling Mudd, KCCC, Honey Rinses and BRHG, Crack Leave-in Hair Cream when straightening

Tools: Silk pillowcase, Floursack towels, Jersey T-Shirts, Wide Tooth Comb, Velecta Paramount TGR-VQX Hair Dryer (for when I straighten) and BaByliss PRO Ionic Rollabout Hard Hat Dryer

wild, It's always a good idea to listen to your body and not always as easy to do. Good for you.

Curls, 20 push-ups is great. Most people can't do that many..

tryn, I sure you'll have a better run when you get back at it.

I did C25K week 4 (40 minute walk/jog) and 25 push-ups. That felt about right to me. I probably could have started there to begin with, but I errored on the side of caution.

Mama, you make Zumba sound like fun. I've seen an infomercial for Zumba DVDs and they never appealed to me. I wonder if the fun factor has as much to do with the class environment as the workout itself???

This morning was C25K W4 D2. I also did 38 push-ups (NO, NOT all at once LOL). I had my eurkea moment and finally found my form on push-ups again. I had gotten away from doing them for a bit and would start to feel it in my lower back. The key is pushing a bit of weight back into my toes. It really helps take stress off the lower back and concentrate the work into the chest.

I've tried the videos and didn't like them much and the fun factor definitely has a lot to do with the music and the instructor. if there are classes around your area, you should check them out, or even check out youtube for a better idea of what classes are like.

no workout yet, though I'll be running later this afternoon when dh gets home. it's windy so should be interesting

5.1mi run tonight, did it in 40min. felt good to have a little speed back into my run. it was windy too, thank goodness it was to my back on the way back home. skipped out on my lolo jones core workout though, I'm so bad at keeping up with it!

Wowza Mama, you're almost twice as fast as me.
It's been years and years since I've been to a gym and done a class workout. I workout first thing in the morning and it's just so much easier to workout, jump in the shower and be done with it. It's what works for me. Otherwise I might have tried Zumba.

This morning was a fun one. I did Cathe's C&W workout. and.... My Insanity DVDs just came in today. I excited and scared at the same time. LOL
I'll be starting the Insanity program on Monday.

booo missed my run today, damn home remodeling projects.

keep us posted on the Insanity workouts FT, never heard of them. what are they about? I to like to get my workout done in the morning , though lately it just doesn't happen. my 2yr wakes up too early and Ii'm just way too tired to get out of bed in the morning lately.

Eeked out 42 push-ups and then did about half of W4 D3 on C25K. I don't know if I didn't eat enough yesterday or didn't get enough sleep last night or what, but I wound up just walking the rest. I was tired Only got about 2.5 miles in today.

Insanity is a 60 day program from Beachbody. It was JUST released. I'm not always a huge fan of Beachbody, but this series looked interesting. I'll let you know what I think as I go. It looks like a really tough program. We'll see if I survive.

Ft,sigh. yep still working on the basement. carpet is due to come in in a week or so, hopefully we can crank it all out when it comes in. ready to move on to the next project...sort of. nice job on the pushups!

I got plenty of exercise yesterday. We were at different stores looking at refrigerators for a total of five hours, with my little almost two year old brother. The whole time I swear he opened every refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and microwave a million times and was punching buttons on the refrigerators, so I had to lift him up a lot (he weighs like 25 pounds). And he ran almost to the other end of the store at Lowe's near the end (with me following him of course). So I got plenty of strength training.

Sounds like you had a great "functional fitness" day.
My secret to 42 pushups was that I took a couple minute breaks in between sets of them. I didn't do them all at once, so it sounded better then it was.

This morning: I did the Insanity Fit test. You do 8 "drills" and count your reps as a bench mark and you redo this test every two weeks to compare your results. This only took about 30 minutes so I did a walk/run for another 20 minutes.

I've been keeping up, but not posting here. I did two half hour sessions of yoga [ashtanga yoga shorts] last week, and biked about 6 miles yesterday.

I'm trying to ease into the yoga again. I started out too strong week before last with full-length practices and I wound up just exhausted. Not good.
wild, Good to see you back here. Sounds like you've had some good workouts.

This morning I did the Plyometric Circuit workout. My hamstrings were already a little tight from just the fit test yesterday. Yowza, I can only imagine the amount of "yelling" they will be doing tomorrow. This is proving to be a tough series..
