Keep up the good work, y'all!
Today I did Cardio Power and Resistance. It was a little easier then the Plyo workout from yesterday, but still very tough.

Haven't done anything for the past two days as I now have de Quervain's tenosynovitis and have to wear a wrist/thumb brace.

I worked out today, did 1/2 a push up as usual, no other upper body workout (just couldn't manage to lift that 10 lbs bar anywhere today), but tons of lower body.

Good morning all,

Today I did Insanity Cardio recovery. It was mostly stretching and balance poses with a few lunges and core moves. I was running late this morning so I only got an extra 1.25 miles on the treadmill (I was planning more).

aaa00a, The fact that you are least trying to do a push-up even if it's not a full one is an accomplishment. Too many people say to H$!! with it if it doesn't come easy.

curls,
That sucks! I hope it heals quickly. Can you still walk or jog? Or does that cause too much "jostling"?

Have a great run Mamacurl! When you refer to "your girls" do you mean your dogs or do you have friends you run with?

I can walk, but I can't jog. I tried jogging with holding my arm stiff at my side, but it still didn't work. Just to much jostling.

I am just walking now and doing some muscle curls with my right arm.

Thanks, I'm going to keep trying; I know eventually I'll be able to do one.

My right shoulder is very, very weak due to a bad collarbone break that didn't heal in the proper location. I can hold my shoulder up to where it is supposed to be for short time periods, but it is very uncomfortable. It's an over 2 inch drop, so everyone notices it. It stands out a lot. People comment on it all the time. They think I have scoliosis (sp?) because of the drop, but fortunately I don't.

I hope through exercise that my shoulder will be able to adjust itself if I keep it in proper position throught the upperbody workout (maybe it's wishful thinking).

aaa, I also broke my collarbone and it didn't heal correctly. It's not weakened fortunately, just looks funky with a knob sticking out around the middle (where the bone split in two, the more mid-line part of the bone was resting slightly on top of the lateral part and it just healed that way) Your break sounds painful, have you looked into some sort of physical therapy to strengthen that shoulder?
anywho, I commend you for even doing 1 pushup. Everyone's got to start somewhere

Maybe she was afraid to or didn't know how to address the issue.

I'm thinking of having it actually looked into. I've been wanting to for a long time, but the other day it just really, really got to me. I'm planning on making an appointment with my doctor to discuss it, probably get x-rays and a referral to a orthopedist in case of needing surgery to possibly re-break and set with properly. Of course, I've been living with this since I was 6 years old, so it's not like I cannot continue living like this, but it's just aggrevating at times. I really get upset by it when I look in a mirror and see the severity of the unevenness.

Anyways, I did my 'day off' workout and added a bit to it. Now I can't workout again for a few days , because of an injection (allergy) in my arm.

aaa, hope you get some answers from your doc. though rebreaking and resetting sounds painful! ouch. though if it benefits you overall, it's worth it. keep us posted. sorry you are missing workout from the injection. does it make you sick for a few days?

5mi run with my girls (kids), pushing the jogger in the heat was a pita. not sure I'll be able to fit my run in today, our day is super full! I've got about a 2hr window around lunch that I might be able to make work, we may have to pack a picnic and stop at a park mid route though.

aaa00a,
Wow, now you get even more credit for attempting the push-ups then I originally gave you. It does sound like a visit to the doctor is in order. Good luck with that.

Mama, LOL, okay got it. I think I recall you mentioning your DS and also the kiddies, but for some reason I thought you just had boys.....

Curls,
Try not to get discouraged, keep up with the walking and get better soon.

Today I did Insanity Pure Cardio. WOWZA! That was a great workout. Endorphin heaven. So far this was my favorite of the series.

My mom was relieved that I finally decided to do something about it, she said she's been waiting for me to get it looked into for a decade now. I wish she told me back then, I likely would have got looked at years ago!

I get a very bad reaction from my allergy injections, but they have already helped my allergy symptoms. It gives me a really bad headache for about a week, and I'm not supposed to do anything with the arm it was injected into for at least 48 hours. But since my reactions are severe - the lump that forms encompasses my entire upper arm - it is very itchy and if touched it is quite painful.

aaa00a, if it were me, I would totally do something about it, so I'm glad you're looking into it. The whole thing sounds painful, but they can give you twilight stuff or whatever and you won't have to be aware of it at all. And then there are pain meds for after, while it's healing.

I had jaw surgery in my 20s for an underbite that was only going get worse as I aged [they predicted I would lose teeth over time]. It was kinda the same thing, a big hassle, potential for pain, but in the end I was really glad I did it. And do it sooner rather than later, you'll heal better and be able to enjoy the rewards of doing it for more of your life!

I actually have scoliosis and if I could do anything to treat it I would do it in a heartbeat. As it stands, I just do core strengthening to keep my back as supported and straight as possible.

Which leads me to my posting …

I did the bike ride on Sunday, mentioned earlier, then did two days of ashtanga primary series and one day of an abbreviated ashtanga session. I'm starting to get my form and stamina back and it feels really good. I'm easing into it slowly so I don't get burnt out again. Tomorrow I'll be doing another 30 min session, then a day off then start again for the new week.

Everyone's doing so great here, it's inspiring! And 405 pushups, that's astonishing! Wow.

aaa, Keep us posted!!

Wild, I haven't done Yoga in a long time. IIRC some of the ashtanga poses are pretty athletic. It's great that you're pacing yourself this time.

Mama, You're like the energizer bunny....

We went camping this weekend so no workout on Saturday. Sunday night I did Insanity Plyo Circuit and this morning I did Cardio Power & Resistance.

Good morning all,
I see I forgot to check in yesterday.
I did Insanity Pure Cardio yesterday (my favorite in the series so far).
Today was Plyo Cardio Circuit. I'm looking forward to the Cardio Recovery and some weight work tomorrow.

I missed another check in yesterday.
So yesterday I did Cardio Recovery and then some weight work (bi's, tri's and shoulders).

Today I did Cardio Power and Resistance and then some weight work (back).

I hope everyone else is doing well...
