Happy Birthday Mama, Go enjoy copious amounts of cake. You can afford it after running 1/2 a marathon.

I did Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs this morning. No workouts tomorrow but I will be golfing 18 holes.

Didn't expect it to get so much better by now, but it felt good enough to jog today. Don't know how many miles I went, but I jogged around the neighborhood this morning for 30 minutes, despite the fact that it was hilly. It felt so good to jog! It was a lot harder jogging outside, but in a good way.

Happy Birthday, Mamacurl3!

Oh I'd love to be 30 again.

Yesterday I biked a little over 12 miles.
Today was the Insanity Fit Test and Plyo Circuit.

Curls, Yeah! Glad to hear you're arm is feeling better and you're back at it.

WileE, Don't sweat what you do or don't do on vacation. Just make sure you commit to get back in gear when you get back. I find sometimes I'm more active on vacation when I don't put pressure on myself. R&R is always good too.

Didn't run today or yesterday.
It is so hot! How do you gals jog outside?
I guess I will just have to suck it up and get used to it.

Curls, it's been a little bit cooler here so far this month so runs have been pleasant. Definitely stock up on water, drop bottles off at various spots along your run or map out routes where you can swing by a water fountain. I heard that wrapping ice cubes up in a bandana and wearing it (rolled up) around your neck will help keep you cool, haven't tried it yet though but just might if it gets hot enough

6mi run tonight, nice run. New shoes, felt good

Keeping you posted...

I went to the doctor yesterday, she didn't take my shoulder issue very seriously. She did in the end agree to send out a requisition to get an xray and ultrasound done. Fortunately, for those I don't have to wait 8+ weeks until the appointment is even booked unlike specialists etc, just a couple of hours. So, I have an appointment for August 28 to get those done. And will have to beg for another appointment with my doctor for a follow up around 2 weeks after that.

Other than that, over the last 4 days, all I've managed to accomplish in terms of exercise is walking (and some failed C25K attempts with one nearly successful W1D1). I haven't even attempted anything else because I have guests staying over but will start again Monday once they leave.

just did 5mi pushing my younger two in the bike trailer/stroller. Got about 2.5mi out and the damn front wheels broke off! Made for an interesting run back

aa, good luck with the appt. glad you were able to get something in relatively soon

Wile, right now I have a pair of Asics Nimbus 9's which I like (those are my old shoes), just got a new pair of Saucony Hurricane 10's which I am liking so far. A good site to figure out what kind of shoe you need (though going straight to a running specialty store to have someone assess you is best) http://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/...t/shoe-dog.jsp

aaa, Glad to hear you were able to strong arm your Dr. into doing something for you.

Curls, I don't workout outside, but it has been a very cool year here, so if I did, I'd be loving it.

tryn, Good to see you again!

WileE happy belated 15th anniversary!!

I had a cold and didn't workout out from last Wen till Monday. Yesterday was Insanity Plyo Circuit and today was Pure Cardio. It feels great to be back at it.

Good Morning all,
This morning was upper body weight work. I did one of Cathe's Push-Pull pre-mixes.

I miss doing weight work with this new Insanity series, so I subbed the Cardio Recovery workout (which is sort of a Yoga with just a little bit of cardio) with weight work.
