Ya, I have a yoga room. Love it! I'm trying to enjoy it as much as possible because I have a feeling I won't have one ever again, once I move out of this place.
70 minute walk today. Thank god for iPods and podcasts.

Wow, I was so stressed tonight, I almost couldn't do yoga, which is quite the paradox.
But I pushed through and manged to do about 30 minute's worth, which I am really glad about now because before my body was just a big knot of stress and now I'm feeling more relaxed and ready for some zzzs.

wild~hair -- how cool to have a yoga room -- and even cooler that you use it. Good for you!!
Today I did W5D3 of the C25K walk/run program. I had to do my 20 minute jog today. I was totally intimidated by the thought of it, but I did it!! It's hard to believe that 4 weeks ago I was only jogging for 60 seconds at a time....

2poodles-- that jogging program you're doing sounds really cool. Did you consider yourself to be "good" at running before you started? I swear, I am not designed to be a long-distance runner. I get light-headed and dizzy when I try to run for a couple minutes. Maybe this would be something I should look into?
Today I did some hot and sweaty fitness dance. We did salsa tonight

Lilah -- I was never a runner. I've been lifting weights semi-regularly for 10 years and earned a black belt in karate 5 years ago, but never did any real cardio, aside from walking. And I'm 45 y/o. That's the beauty of this program, though. It starts you off real slow and builds. You can check it out at:

And, btw, salsa dancing sounds like a blast!

I have been down with something...either I need a root canal or I have the sinus infection of the century. My teeth HURT on the right side of my face. Did I mention that I had a final crown put on last week. My dentist said she JUST doesn't think my symptoms screamed I need a root canal...but she'd send me for one IF I wanted. I wasn't able to see my own dr...so I had to go to an Urgent care. He said, sinus infection, gave me something for the pain and an antibiotic. I have an appointment with my OWN dr tomorrow.
I did not run on Sunday morning. I didn't feel up to it. I did do my Step and Pump class combo last night. By the time I left I was in a fair amount of pain. My canine's hurt. It eased some, but then I wound up taking the pain meds at 3am. I came home today and laid in bed for 2 hours...I think I might have actually slept.
Has anyone had any experience with this...it's seriously effecting me. Root canal or sinus infection...wish I knew.

Sorry you're feeling poorly. Hope you start to feel better soon. And you're smart to wait to exercise until you feel up to it. Take good care of yourself...

I hate not being able to work out when I want to. I'm like that right now, last week I had the flu and bronchitis, and right now I feel like I may have an upper respiratory infection. I'm tired all the time and I can like smell something in my nose and am all congested! UGH

40 minutes of walking today.
This is going to be a tough week, because of work and social commitments. But I should be able to keep up with some sort of routine. I've gotten to the point where I feel worse if I don't exercise — emotionally and physically — so that's a huge motivator.

Being ill is the worst!! I hope we get better soon!!
Edited: I went back to the DR today. They did x-rays...definitely still a sinus infection.

I did my W6D1 routine for the C25K walk/run program. This time I had some planned walking breaks. It actually felt harder than the 20 minute run that I did last time. Not too sure why - perhaps I wasn't as psyched up for it since I knew I'd be taking walk breaks. But I got it done!

I know, I'm thinking of going back to the doctor! I think I may have an upper respiratory infection now! Why can't I just be well?

I've had a bad annoying cold for the last couple of days, but I'm back!
Just did some weights. I'm going to D.C. tonight until Monday...I'm hoping to get lots of walking in

I forgot about this thread!
This week:
Tuesday: lifted weights + ten minutes of walking/running intervals on the treadmill
Wednesday: walked all over campus
Today: lifted weights
I'm going to stay with my parents in my hometown this weekend, so I won't get a chance to go to the gym but I am going to try to get a good walk in with their cute little dog.

25 minutes walking. I wanted to do an hour, but I knew it was too cold for that. Turned out it was too cold for 30 minutes either.
