Thanks, mc! I did kick butt Well, for me, anyway! I was a whole 8 minutes faster today. Therefore, today was my best time evah

Here's a funny...hubby goes & picks up my packet. Thinking he is being helpful, he decides the shirt size I ordered was too big & got me a smaller size. Yep, you guessed it! Pretty funny me trying to stretch out my shirt, cuz you know I'm wearing it on race day! I was like, don't you know that since my boobs are yooge now, I need a bigger shirt?!

Then, I get into my jacuzzi tub to soak & didn't have the water high enough over the jets b/c I hadn't used it in a while & thought I could get away w/ that...dern water everywhere! I think I'll need to soak again tom when the hot water is full capacity

btw...Olivia has the most gorgeous curls! She's a cutie

Oh, and I got this amazing runner's high..at first, it scared the carp outta me! I was like but was okay after I knew I could kick butt!

yay Wile!! You can't leave me hangin without race details! Awesome job cutting off 8min from your time, that's HUGE!! Seriously! What an accomplishment, bummer the shirts a little snug though. They mean well though don't they? Glad you had an enjoyable weekend

Olivia does have some pretty sweet hair, hoping the back of her head decides to curl back up again. It's gone straight/wavy on us

will send the results if ya want...
I'd love to see the results I'm so proud of you Wile!! You've come a long way, won't be long before you're posting your casual 6milers
Get in another hot soak and recruit dh for a massage

3.3mi on tm and 1hr belly dance. Looks like I won't be able to do the performance, just not enough time in the day to get me practiced up. Hopefully another will present itself, I'd love to do it. I may still go to the show though, kids are invited even and I think a kid belly dance performance maybe?

I can't believe how long its been since I've had anything to check in with on this thread. DH left me alone with the kids for 3 weeks while he had to travel overseas. I didn't get a chance to run at all during that time (heck, I barely had time for regular showers...). Before that a combination of sickness, exams and what not. I basically ran 5 times in the last 6 weeks.

But.... I ran my first 10k race yesterday!! I told DH to come back with the kids to see me finish and that it would take me 1 hr 20 minutes. I finished in 1 hr 7 min and they didn't get there in time. I was really happy just to finish and to do better than my practice times... even though I was passed by pretty much every Grandma running the race.

So now I have my eyes on a 10k on March 17. This time I'm going to train properly... hills and tempo runs and all that jazz. My goal is to get under 1 hour.

1hr fast paced walk with the dogs and SO on Saturday.
Rest day Sunday.
30mins/2000steps on the stairstepper today.

Got offtrack last week and didn't exercise Wed, Thurs, Fri at all :/ - got into a fight with SO + other stress just left me wanting to sleep and eat donuts. (I didn't eat any donuts though!) LOL. The argument has since been resolved and the other stressers are less now. Thank goodness.

mc...I'll get there. Couldn't have done it w/o the wonderful support! Def go to the dance...

wtg, ms! That's awesome. I know whatcha mean about being passed up..lol I'm thinking about doing a 10K soon, as well...I must be nuts! lol

Y'all keep up the great work!
Mad, eeks! 3 weeks without dh, wow Mama! Glad he's back and you are able to get out and get some you time in and your workouts. Way to go on your race too, kicking off 13min of your goal time seriously rocks! Esp with not having run much in the last month or more. With training for the next one, you'll seriously kick some butt on your pr. Definitely coming in under an hour.

nice workouts Aussie and Guyanese! Awesome determination and will power to stay away from the donuts Aussie.

Wile, thinking I might have to. It'd be fun to see real belly dancers in action I partly wanted to just to be able to wear the fun clothes

Thanks, MC.

I am pretty proud of myself for sticking to eliminating most junk food and generally unhealthy stuff so far this year. I've lost just about 5lbs in the last 3 weeks! It's making my 20lb goal seem not that far off.

GOOD MORNING ALL!! Yeah, I meant to yell that.

I got back on the horse this morning. I did Cathe's step moves. A really fun step workout. I haven't run since last year and I'm not excited about getting back on the treadmill. I did enjoy setting goals and reaching them the end of last year. But if I'm honest with myself, I didn't enjoy the running itself so much. So for now I'm going to go back to my aerobics and weights and get on the treadmill when I feel like it. Ha!
I wasted too much time dreading the treadmill since I wanted to make that my first workout once I got over my cold that I put off working out for a couple weeks. Oh well.

WileE, WileE, WileE. 8 minute improvement is absolutely awesome.. What a great race!!! Perhaps hearing all of your accomplishments will inspire me to get back to running in a week or two or come June .

Welcome Princess, and good to see Mad Scientist again. Way to cut 14 minutes off your expected time. Sorry to hear the kiddies and DH didn't get to see you finish.

Mama, Oh your daughters are adorable.

Aussie, Way to get back into things. Don't feel bad. I fell off both the workout wagon and was eating like crap for almost 4 weeks. It's amazing I only gained 3 pounds.

We're remodeling the kitchen still, so real healthy meals are still a bit of a challenge. But we have the cabinets in (door need to be installed). Next weekend the floor is being put in and hopefully the new counters will be ready right around that time.

Sorry for the novelette. I'm making up for lost time.

I ran long on Sunday (14 miles), but haven't been outside since other than to get the mail. I haven't been able to leave my computer or my kitchen! Tomorrow is supposed to be hills, but it's snowing right now, so I may have to move them to the 'mill and do fake hills.

MC - your girls are absolutely beautiful! My sister's name is Olivia (she is named after my great-grandmother) and I always envied her that she got the "good" name, LOL.

runner, I can't even imagine running 5 miles more or less 14. I don't know how you marathoners do it. I hope the weather improves for you so you can get back outside.

WileE, So when is your next race? Are you doing a (gulp) 10K?

35mins on the stairstepper this AM.

Going to start to try to get back to a morning routine. Evenings are too hard -- to much other stuff going on to focus.
