Im' happy to see the thread is chugging right along. I've been working out, just not posting. I finally got my new running shoes, though now have a cold and feel ick so won't be able to test them out until tomorrow. Hoping some r&r will do the trick this weekend. I did do some dancing on Friday night, probably stayed out too late and pushed this cold into overdrive, but it was worth it I was even a little sore the next day, so it has to count for something right?
keep up the good work ladies! It's starting to warm up here a bit, can't wait to run outside.

I did 1 hour of cardio this morning...I did not do my usual run, just to see how it went. I am planning on my usual routine tomorrow.

No, and I'm feeling so much better now. I can actually smell things!!! I'm so impatient to get back to working out, I was going to yesterday but a storm blew in, and I didn't get the chance.

Did W6D3 of the C25K walk/run program. Today was a 25 minute run with no walk break. The last 2 minutes were particularly challenging for me - but I did it!

hi guys, hope you don't mind if I jump in this thread. I just started the C25K program 2poodles is doing last week and I'm feeling like some accountability would be good here. I did the second day of week 2 this morning and it felt pretty good. Tomorrow is an off day, but I am planning on going to the gym and biking in the morning and maybe some lifting. ambitious of me, but this new running things has re-motivated me to work out

Way to go!
So I started this today. Between needing to shake things up, warmer weather antsy-ness, and the plateau effect of my walking/yoga-ing, I definitely needed something new. I've run/walked before, but never with any kind of plan or knowledge, you know?
I really liked it. Much better than my usual approach of jogging until exhaustion or some twinge of pain somewhere forces me to stop.
I have no idea if I'll progress, but for now, a nice change!

Glad you're feeling better mamacurl3! You are very inspiring - you work out frequently and have small kids!!
Today was W7D1 of the C25K. I found it hard today, but I did 25 mins running/jogging!

I am finally back to normal. Monday I ran 3.5 miles outside. Yesterday did 10 mins at 10.0 or above on elliptical for warmup, leg weights and then ran about 4.5 miles outside.

So, I did my normal Monday night routine, step class and pump class. I did step class today, my joints were so sore...I didn't have enough energy to give it my all....but at least I went.

I'm hoping to make it to spin class at 5:30 today, but I'm going to have to move like the wind!

Thanks Poodles, it's work trying to get a workout in and sometimes I have to be awfully creative to make sure it happens Great job on the run! How many weeks is the program?
Nice job Amanda on the run, I bet it feels good to run outside...not too much longer here and I think I'll be able to too.
Pip, enjoy your outside run! I think that getting outside can be very motivating, esp this time of year.

Mamacurl3 - the C25K program is 9 weeks (in theory). When I think back to where I was when I started, I'm pretty impressed by myself! lol But I still have a ways to go....

Made it to spin class/RPM it was an hour and it kicked my butt! Then did chest, triceps and shoulders. I was so not tired when I got back to my apt from my parents house I jogged another mile, I shouldn't have, but I did.
