You're doing a great job Poodle, keep it up! So you have 2 weeks left of training, what happens next?

I did not do my usual workout today of step/pump classes...I went back to the dr. I woke up last night in the middle of the night and my whole entire head was pounding... "sinus sinus, go away...don't come back any day." I'm trying to keep my sense of humor...this has been happening on a nightly basis for 3 weeks.

Thanks, Mamacurl3! I'm hoping that once I complete the program, I'll be getting an ipod from my hubby as a congratulations gift! Then I hope to be able to transition to running outside - at least some of the time, as long as my spine can tolerate it. To be honest, I wasn't totally convinced I'd make it this far! But now I'm loving it! If I am able to run outside, I just might sign up for a 5K race. Not to win, but just to complete it and feel great about my progress.

I must say, I find you very inspiring - you seem to find the energy to exercise every day - good for you!

Poodles, I think you'll enjoy running outside. I definitely think it's an adjustment from running on a treadmill. I ran outside Thurs for the first time and it kicked my booty a little. The fresh air is so invigorating and inspiring. I try to workout daily, though "life" has it's way of getting in the way somedays. With the "I'll workout every day" mindset, I usually end up with 5 days of being able to get it in, some weeks (like this on) it's 4.
Are you doing to do the Breast Cancer 5K in May? I think a friend of mine is, I'd like to in the future but for now will probably stick to runs closer to home until the kids are older.
Happy treading!
Friday, no workout...hubby didn't get home until close to 7 and I wasn't feeling well. Going to head out this morning though.

This week had me off-schedule a bit with work, social stuff and my period.

But I got back to it today with day 2 of the C25K and then 70 minutes of yoga.

I had a prednisone shot on my hip on Friday...and the dr put me on 7 additional days of oral prednisone. I slept like a baby on Friday night, but last night I was awake for most of the night. DH didn't mind when I woke him at at 2:30am ...anyway. I went out running this morning, my 7 year old went with me for the first time. She road her bicycle. We have a neighborhood parkway that is very hilly. I would run past her up the hills and she'd zoom past me on the downhills. We only went for 2 + miles instead of my usual 3 +... but she was tired...and so was I after not running for almost 3 weeks.

I feel so much better...even if the prednisone is making me jittery. HA!!! Workout...I'm back!!

1.5 hours of ballet this morning. i was the only one there so teacher got to "torture" me. which means it was really fun, i learned a lot, but it was really, REALLY hard. i got quite the workout, and i'm not afraid to tell you i was definitely sweaty at the end. it's always a good day when the first thing i get to do is dance.

plus i can definitely feel my abs and my inner thighs getting stronger and stronger with each class. and my teacher has been noticing a huge improvement on my posture.

I just did W7D3 of the C25K program. For the first time I did the running outdoors. Sheesh... the 25 minutes went by way more quickly outside than it ever did on the TM. I don't have any clue how far I ran or how fast, but outdoors is the way to go!! I may even join a running group at some point. And the thought of signing up for a 5K isn't as ludicrous as I thought it might be! Amazing what a mere 7 weeks of training can do for a person's confidence!

I personally can, not...not...not run on a treadmill indoors. I get WAY to bored. Something about the fresh air and the openness of the surroundings make it way more interesting...even if I run the same route all of the time. I used to have a running group, since you can find someone your own pace the run goes by even faster, because you'll start talking...and suddenly, you've finished running but you have so much more to say.

I did my pump class this morning for an hour...I am feeling much better.

Sunday 40min on stationary bike and 4 sets 20pushups
I want to get out for a run today, we'll see what the sidewalks look like when dh gets home. Otherwise it's the treadmill for me.

Hope, glad the prednisone is helping. Nice job on the run, I bet your dd like the time alone with you.

Poodles, running outside is so nice! I was super sore though after having run on the treadmill all winter. It's definitely different when you throw the elements into the picture. I love it. You know, I audio read when I run on the treadmill and just cover up the time/distance meters on the treadmill...that helps pass the time and I get some "reading" in too

Guinness, how is the couch to 5K coming?

I did W1 Days 2 and 3 over the weekend, though I would take a break today, plus we got SNOW here today [boo!] so the sidewalks are all death traps.

I thought I might do yoga this evening, but a burrito looks more tempting ... and burritos and yoga do not mix.

LOL, I vaguely recall the yoga burrito incident. We got snow too, though it warmed up just enough to melt it all away. so I got in my 4mile run, which my hubby coralled the kiddos around the dinner table. Hope you enjoyed your burrito, that sure sounds awefully yummy. I might have to mix up a batch of black beans tomorrow.
