Today I did hot yoga .. it was brutal but rewarding.
Tomorrow I have a 5k road run!

It's taken a month because I only get weighed when I go to the doctors every 6 months, but I'm still happy. I figure I'm keeping muscle and loosing fat.

Today is a rest day. I have that sore yet good muscle pain all over. I may do some light cardio later.

I wish there somewhere that did hot yoga near me.

Couldn't be bothered with the gym today. It seemed more like a chore. Still did full body weights and 20 minutes cardio though.

Keep going CurlyLaura. You're an inspiration. Yesterday I did my walking despite freezing weather. Today, can't get up the motivation. Hopefully tomorrow....

Every day is a gift
So I checked out the 30 Day Shred today. Holy cow is my butt kicked! Eyes are open! Whoa. I did like it though, it moved fast enough to keep me from getting discouraged or bored. I checked it out of the library to see if I liked it before investing. If I am still positive at the end of week one I'll go get it. I had to modify a lot and stop a bit but I kept going! My lungs were like "holy crap!" I have asthma so I'm looking to build some endurance with them. I like the challenge. If things are too easy I get bored and will stop. My arms are all quivery and I'm not sure if I can stand up at the moment, but I'm already looking forward to tomorrow, I know it'll be rougher than today but I can't wait to get over that hump!

I think I'm going to need to make sure the fan is on, I can't stand my face being hot. That should help mitigate discomfort and keep me going.
Does anyone else run for stress relief? Lately, I have been too stressed to muster up the motivation and time to run. Sigh.

30 day day 2 - ouchy! My legs hurt so much today I had to do a lot of modifying the movements but I kept at it. I think I need a longer warm up and recovery than the video is providing. I felt great after yesterday until I woke up this morning. My hip hurt something awful! Not "ooh I did something funny to it" hurt but "ouch! I haven't used those muscles in a while" ouch.

I powered through though and I feel great! I'm keeping a workout log so I can figure out what works and what isn't for me. I can't wait for my muscles to acclimate again!
I've not been to the gym for a few days because I was saving myself for snowboarding this morning.

It was my first time back since I did my back in and I had an awesome time! I was a bit scared to begin with but soon got my confidence back. OMG I am still on a high from it now. In fact I think I was better this time than just before I nearly crippled myself.

Trying to get back into it this past week.

Tues/Thurs/Sat: 30 mins of intervals on the elliptical + some ab work.

Going to try a yoga class tomorrow after work (first time at an exercise class ever - first time at yoga!). I am a bit nervous, but I think I will like it. I've heard great things from friends. And I have been feeling unmotivated to do strength training/stretching, so I think it will be nice to try something new.
Yoga is such a love / hate for me LOL! Hot yoga is THE best thing though!

Yesterday I ran 5 miles in 46. Today my feet hurt so I had cupcakes instead. Really need to start running again, slow slow time.

Hope you enjoy the yoga, Like.Australia - I began a daily practice a few years ago and it has changed my life - really. I've gained strength and flexibility, lost 30 pounds (mostly due to increased mindfulness of what I was eating and why) and have greatly increased my capacity to be present, patient, calm and resilient. I am almost done a 200 hour yoga teacher training and hope to be teaching classes out of my home soon.

Yoga last night was surprisingly hard and it feels like every muscle in my body is sore today, which, in my book, means it was a great workout! I am going to try to do two classes/week.

So far this week:
Sun: rest
Mon: 1.5hr Vinyasa class that kicked my butt.
Tues: rest

Plan:
Wed: 30mins of intervals on the elliptical
Thurs: Vinyasa
Fri: 30mins intervals (may rest on Fri, depending on how I feel after yoga from thursday)
Sat: 30mins intervals
30 minutes bike

15 minutes cross trainer.

I got bored.

My poor poor foot.

I ran my run on Saturday .. today is Thursday. Today I couldn't take the pain anymore so I made a doctors appointment. Tomorrow I will find out if I have a stress fracture

I did my elliptical intervals on Wednesday and Vinyasa last night (Thurs), but decided to take a rest day today instead of more elliptical this morning. I felt a little more confident in yoga last night than the first time because I knew what some of the poses were and didn't have to look around to see what everyone else was doing at much. It was still incredibly physically hard though!
Full weights (I increased the weight too) and according to the Daily Burn app on my phone I lifted the grand total of 15,000kg today.

20 minutes bike and 20 minutes crosstrainer
