Went to the gym today. Oh how I missed that place. I used curlylaura's 5x5 idea.

Mts row - 30x2 lbs
Bench press w/ dumbbells - 12.5x2 lbs

Then I maxed out as many reps as I could until my arms gave out. Bench was way too easy. I should've used a heavier weight. I haven't lifted in a while, so maybe this was a good warm up for my auxiliary muscles.

Then I did W4D3. I finished strong. The indoor track was a good change. Onwards to week 5! (I'm kind of scared.)
Today was rest. Upper back and arms are pretty sore. Tomorrow I plan on doing a Nike cardio or tone. I'm mostly worried about my running and upper body strength now.
Get toned > beginner > body flexor

Unlocked "Power Player" title.
Wednesday: 1 hour cardio

Saturday: 1 hour cardio

No weights as I'm starting to get bored with 5x5 now. I'm going to start the Nike training app. I think I wasn't eating enough to do 5x5 properly, it's very exhausting. I might come back to to it later.

Also my gym is really hot at the moment, the air con is not strong enough.

Fitness is the reason I'm curly in the first place. Nothing comes between me and my running.
Crap workout by my standards today. I've turned weak overnight. Oh well, better than nothing

You are always an inspiration, CLaura. If you are off one day, you will be dynamite the next. Here's to you .
2/c and some 3A. Modified CG.
Protein sensitive
Highly porous. Color over grey.
Best 1st day method: Super Soaker
Conditioners: Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening Conditioner,
Deep condish: Curl Junkie Curl Rehab
Stylers: Mix Curls in a Bottle into everything for shine. Terrible pj
Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.
Every day is a gift
I've got to keep going to inspire you CP!!! How are you doing anyway?

Hi CL!
Thanks for asking. I'm doing really well. I'm proud of myself. Occasionally (yesterday) I got off track and was lazy and didn't exercise but I'm determined again today.

I'm trying to get motivated to do some light weights - I used to use them but haven't since the brain surgery. However - that was well over a year ago - I'm running out of excuses.

I was told one of the reasons I recovered so well from the surgery was that I was in excellent physical shape - from exercising!

Yay for all us curly exercisers!

Days off are allowed and actively encouraged so you don't wear yourself out and allow muscle growth.

I'm glad your feeling a lot better cp. Think of it this way, you've had BRAIN surgery, you've been through a lot and are doing wonderfully considering what you've had to put your body through.

30 mins bike followed by 20 mins crosstrainer. I was a bit hungry.

Attempted W5D2. I finished the first run, but then I had to stop because my stomach felt like it was sinking. Sigh. Will try again tomorrow or the day after.

Repeating 1 day in 5 weeks isn't bad, but it is still a letdown.

ETA: I don't think it's fair or accurate for me to say I stopped because of the stomach. I also didn't have the will power or any mental energy today.

So I posted a while ago & I fell off...however I need to get my butt back in gear asap! I actually got a free month from Curves gym (it started last week & I've been going three times a week & working out at home 3days). However I just didn't feel like going yesterday or this morning so I feel bad about that.

However me & my 4yr old did have a 2hr dance party last night & a mini one this morning. So I figure once it cools down this evening I'll go outside & walk/job a mile & I should be ok as long as I go bk to the gym tomorrow morning.

I also am attempting to do another 7 day master cleanse (they always help me get moving again). I already know the risks/advantages (depending on your viewpoint), however if anyone wants to join me I will be documenting my cleanse each day until I'm done.

Hair Type: A head full of THICK, normal porosity curls/coils that I am TOTALLY in LUV with!
(Transitioned for 16 & 1/2 months)

Loving: MC LI Condish, Raw shea butter, Coconut & Grapeseed Oil, SM raw shea butter shampoo,HEHH Conditioner, Braggs ACV & Egg, Mayo & EVOO PT's

So...as some added motivation I thought I would post pics of the bikini I purchased from VS & am HOPING to be rocking out on the 4th of July.

We are going to Atlantic City for a few days & I really want to be strutting my stuff down the boardwalk!

If all works out (LOL) I will post some pics come 4th of July.

I'm ashamed of myself this is the longest I've been without exercise. I'm been very stressed and busy with moving but now that I'm all moved in I have no more excuses. I've started eating better I was trying to do what I normally do when I want to lose weight (lower my calorie intake) but it just wasn't working out. Idk if its because I was stressed or just exhausted from the moving. I plan on doing a exercise video when I get home from work and I'm going to the gym tomorrow. I am now trying to eat better and not worry so much about calories.

I need to just get moving!!!!!

If I would have just stuck w/it I would be closer to my goal by now & not stressing over this deadline I set for myself. However I really TRY not to beat myself up too much about what has already been done & focus on the future.

I too have changed my eating habits, given up all meat, etc & wanted to re-initiate my cleanse as a beginning to a better lifestyle...not a solution. That being said I just really need to stick w/it!
