I have only ever run outside and have no idea how fast I'm going. I take it easy though.

I'm gearing up for W6D1 in a bit. How'd you do w/ W5D3?

W6D1 done!! I didn't actually look up the run before I went out, just listened for the podcast cues. My runner friend who's been doing the last week or so with me says we ran faster today than monday when we did the 20 minute run, so that's good. Did a little sprint in the beginning of the last run too. I find I like my sprinting pace better, it's more comfortable for me with my long legs, but I absolutey cannot keep it up for long. When I'm done with the C25k program (estimated mid-late July) I'm going to work on speed, see if I can get closer to that long stride when I run.

Holy hell, W4 was like slow torture. I hated just about every minute of it save for D1.

W5 is much better.

Ok...after two attempts I completed W5D3!!

First attempt I had to stop at about 12 minutes because my shins were on fire. But tonight I was fine except for the in the first half when my legs felt like lead.

It felt soooooooooo good to finish and I'm so very pround of myself. No one really knows that I'm doing this and those that do know, don't take me seriously. It's good to come here and report the progress.

Don't be!! You got this far, nothing's stopping you. Even if you need to try a couple of times, you'll do it.

I did W6D2 today. Slow as ish again but I did it and didn't even hate it.

Absolutely let me know, but I know you won't have a problem.

What I do towards the end of a run that I really don't want to keep running, I just think about what a bummer it would be to get home and have to tell my husband and my friends that I didn't finish. Try it!! Even if you're slow and feel gross, just keep convincing yourself to go for another 15 seconds. And another 15 seconds. And how much you don't want THIS to be the run you don't finish. It's given me the motivation to keep going when I really don't want to a bunch of times.

Good luck!! I know you'll do fine.

I'm in. W1D1 2nite. Actually following the version from Runner's World. Similar but same idea. Work your way up to 30 minutes of running without being rushed to the emergency room!

I'm not doing this, since I'm already a runner, but I do recommend this program to everyone who'll listen and I wanted to say: WOOHOO! to all of you who are following it! You're all doing great!!! Keep up the good work! Running really does get easier, I swear!

Well, I finished W6 on Monday, so had planned to go out for W7D1 tonight, but it looked like it was going to rain. So I did a like three minute warm up walk and ran for about ten minutes, including a sprint towards the end, and then cooled off for about two minutes. It was good I did, too, since if I'd stayed out for the full 35 minutes I would have gotten COMPLETELY drenched. Which would have been not so much fun.

Also, I've made a habit of not looking ahead to see what my run is until I'm walking out the door to go do it. So I had no IDEA that I had a week's worth of 25 minute runs ahead of me!!! What the frak!?!?!?!?

LMAO @ Michelle. Talking to myself as I ran did help. Thank u for the tip lol

I did w5d3 today and it was great! It wasn't as difficult as I thought I know using the treadmill has caused this difference in my runs though. I can't wait to get back outside. Keep moving curlies!

Hey Wile, were u able to run today?

I was supposed to run Wed, but had an important cert exam to pass for my job. I passed!! So, needless to say, I've been celebrating since & will thru the w/e. I really need to run today...we shall see
