I joined Weight Watchers
Ok ladies, I finally decided that I need some help in losing weight. I just can't seem to drop it like I used to. So Wednesday I joined Weight Watchers. After doing research between Jenny Craig, Nutri System and WW, it seems like WW is the best fit for me since I can still eat what I want to an extent. However, sticking to the points part of it is a little harder than I was anticipating. But I did some grocery shopping today so I can coordinate my lunches and dinners for the week and I ordered a couple books from WW to help with dining out, etc. So wish me luck ladies, I have about 50 pounds to lose.
Also if you are looking for a change of pace in your workout, I got the DVD called Shapely Secrets (of an infomercial. It's a 7 minute workout you do everyday. I know 7 minutes sounds ridiculous, but I have been doing it the last couple days and I will tell you I feel soreness from exercising. And you don't need any equipment or anything. Basically you are working muscle against muscle. It's definitely interesting. It won't be my sole workout because I need to add in cardio too but it is something easy to start with.

Well not so bad too far. I started it last Wednesday and my first weight check was Monday and I was down 4 pounds. Yea me! It is a little harder than I anticipated to stay within the given points for the day but I did some grocery shopping over the weekend and it has been a little better.

Good luck with WW! I just started with Weight Watchers at work two weeks ago. I am following the Core Plan and today is a weigh in day so I'm hoping I dropped a pound or two. I did flex several years ago, and you are so right. It is a challenge to stay within your daily point allotment. I did get used to it though and successfully met my goal by the end of the program. This time though, I wanted to see how I do with Core because I think I can eat more. We'll see. If I didn't lose any weight this week then I'll just have to cut my portion sizes back.

My sister in law joined weight watchers after my niece was born, and she lost a lot. I think it's a pretty successful regime. Best of luck to all who've joined --- keep us posted on your results!

How did it go? I haven't joined yet, so I am not sure which plan would be the best for me. I think the Core plan might work well for me. I need structure.

I joined WW last year. I lost 20 pounds in 5 months. Im now a lifetime menber. I could not have lost weight with out it. Its the accountability that does it. Track, track, track!!!! Pretty soon you get so used to eating only so many points, you eat those things automatic. Good luck with it. And remember losing 2 lbs a week is GREAT!!
Western Bagels (found in dairy section at Wal mart) are only 1 pt!!!!! (the whole bagel)

Good luck. I've got a friend that lost over 100 lbs on WW...so the same fortune to you.
The 7 min is not silly. I wanted something I could do at work. The guys I work with are in WY 40 hrs a week, and there is not that much for me to do...I have done so much that I can't even make work anymore.
MSN.com has 5 min workouts...I set an alarm on my computer and every hour I get moving for 5 min. I also take my dog to work now 3 x week (like I said, I'm the only one there) so I have to go out at lunch and walk her for 30 min. We've got nice walking/bike trail. I found a bike in our shop area and got permission to ride it. I'm such a rebel that I'm not going to wear a helmet! Anyway, I have a 'routine' worked out for MWF and TTH...I do the lunges on the days when Jess is not with me as she wants to lick me on the calf as she follows me up and down the hallway, which makes the lunges stutter

I joined Weight Watchers, too...again! I think it is a good program that works if you do it. It is simple to lose weight but not easy!
