Anyone have a gym membership?

1/11/06
Gym today: did 32 minutes on the elliptical at high intensity. A little sore from all the work I did yesterday!
Breakfast: 2 whole grain waffles with 3 tablespoons sugar free syrup, 1 cup plain nonfat yogurt. 20 ounces water.
Lunch: sandwich of 2 slices whole wheat bread (40 cals each) and 1 tablespoon peanut butter, 7 Wheat Thins, 20 grapes, 100 calorie-pack of cookies (fake oreos!) Water.
Planning on fruit as a snack and soup/salad for dinner. Good day!
Wow, you guys are very active!

I would love to take up martial arts, but not sure which. I went to a friend's dojo a few months ago and it was really cool, but too pricey for me.

I know bally's has MA for little kids, but I am going to check to see if they have adult classes for young adults and mature adults.

I am having whole grain WHEAT spaghetti for dinner with mushroom sauce and fat-free brownies (made with apple sauce) for dessert. And lots of water. Even though I love my skim milk, I am trying to drink more water exclusively to hydrate the body better and it also helps the body burn more fat, not to mention what it does for the skin. So, I am going to try to drink water exclusively, except for skim with breakfast and have cranberry juice on weekends with breakfast as it's good for the body as well.

ake care everyone!

My gym is closed today and tomorrow because they are adding new machinery to the weight room so I had to workout at home. Did a Tae-Bo workout, about 45 minutes long. It was good--kinda kicked my butt
Breakfast: 1 cup whole grain WW cereal (im not on the program but like the taste and the 100 cals a serving) with 1/3 cup fat-free soymilk, 2 eggs scrambled with basil, oregano, thyme and a shake of red pepper flakes. 20 oz. water
Lunch: 6 inch roasted chicked breast sub from Subway, no cheese/all the veggies/a squirt of mustard. 1 bag Light Lays chips, Diet Coke. Water.
Snack: salad with iceberg lettuce, spinach, red and green pepper, onion, a few green grapes and 1/2 Tablespoon fat free italian dressing. Water.
Dinner: planning on a baked potato with salsa, some baked fish and a few steamed shrimp. Dessert=Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich, these are awesome!
I'm going out of town tomorrow so it will be difficult to not have control over what is presented to me (I'm teaching at a weekend retreat where food is catered). I'm planning on drinking lots of water and keeping portions small. Good luck to everyone!

I love reading what you guys eat. Can you tell I'm such a guy yet? All I eat for dinner is Subway. Its definately not because I can't cook its just I'm too lazy to cook after the gym. Tomorrow is Saturday and I've promised myself I'm laying low for the day so I'm going to have a different menu for tomorrow.

I read somewhere, and I find it holds true, that after strength training, put the protein to your body 45 minutes after you work out. This helps muscles begin their healing process and starts building up the tears from the work out before the lactic acids set in.

You all make me horribly embarrassed about my diet. I had tacos for dinner today... But I'm about to do 30 minutes of yoga.

Tacos are fine, with turkey meat low fat or fat free sour cream in a low fat tortilla!

Gym: 31 minutes on elliptical at high intensity, and 10 minutes on the treadmill running about 5 mph. Felt great afterwards!
Breakfast: 2 whole grain waffles with 2 tablespoons sugar free syrup, 1/2 cup plain nonfat yogurt with 1 teaspoon strawberry preserves (also sugar free), and 1 handful of green grapes. 20 oz. water
Lunch: Can of Progresso minestrone soup, 1 cup fat free soymilk, and 3/4 cup peaches. 20 oz. water
Snack: Salad made with red leaf lettuce, chopped green pepper and onion, mushrooms, a little sliced tomato, 1 teaspoon bacon bits and 1 tablespoon fat free italian dressing. Mmm! 20 oz. water
Dinner will be oven-fried chicken (chicken breasts dredged in a little flavored bread crumb mixture and baked) and a baked potato, probably with green beans or some other veggie. And a SC ice cream sandwich for dessert!
I'm trying to drink only water these days. I don't like what caffeine does to my body--yet I still love diet drinks and would drink them 24-7 if I could. I also drink flavored water sometimes (sugar/caffeine/calorie free) which is better than diet stuff, I guess. I get bored with plain water!
