I made it to day 21 and then tore my rotator cuff. Plan on restarting as soon as I'm allowed to exercise again

Enjoy it's tough but the results are worth it!

I did insanity and i lost a whole dress size! I was soooo excited because i was in a friends wedding! I had purchased my dress a 2 sizes smaller because i was halfway in between a size 18 and 17 because of my bust, i refused to almost get stuck in a size 20 merely because of my breast size and so did insanity and lost a whole dress size doing it (i would have lost more if i had eaten correctly the ENTIRE time, but i had starbucks and i ate steak and all sorts of other crazy things)

My suggestion to anyone that does this amazing workout is to STICK WITH IT! and stick with good eating habits because of cours with any diet you start and stick with you must understand that it's a life style change not really a diet!

You must change your life style for the better to see good results! In the food guide that is offered up in the front lists Micah's table, if you can stay on the pious diet (which is sooo hard, or it was for me because i like steak and all the stuff that i shouldn't!) you have a perfect diet!

Good luck to you all! I may try asylum in the very near future! It's insanity rev'd up and packed into 30 days!

CurlyRoo, let us know if you try Asylum! It looks like a lot of fun, and it looks like it's really hard. I like the idea of a 30 day program rather than a 60- or 90-day program.

I will certainly let you all know if i do try asylum. The thing i loved the MOST about Insanity is the fact that i didn't have to buy any equipment! I believe with Asylum there are resistance bands and the p90x lift bar (which is fine, if i end up extra healthy!). I'm currently going through the e-diets program, i JUST started it, it's $21 bucks a day but it's really just portion control that you're worrying about (the food so far is pretty good!)

So if i combine e-diets and a strenuous workout schedule... my weight loss will be easier for sure!

I will keep you all up to date if i do try Asylum!

Ok so today was my first time doing day 1 of insanity. I was completely not ready for this in a good way. The fitness test itself was an insane experience from start to finish it was 25 mins I believe. Before give my results I want to say that I am 101 lbs overweight. Before I started insanity I was and still am doing a jogging program 3xs a week and the amount of time spent jogging increases as weeks go on. I am up to jogging for 32 minutes. I would say that I am toeing the line of being out of shape to barely in shape. Anyways these are my results from the test:
Switchkicks: 109
Powerjacks: 30
Powerknees: 85
Powerjumps: 29 ( man those right there good god)
Globe: 7 (by this time I was wearing out)
Suicide jumps: 10
Push-up jacks:9( honestly I have never been able to do a regular push up so I will take that 9)
Plank obliques: 32
I tell you when that minute was up I was guzzling that water down quickly so I could plop down. It was exhausting. However what kept me going was my vision board I placed right above the tv and reading some of the quotes I put on it. One said "that voice in your head that says you can't is a liar". So that's all for now!!

Yah know I thought that was going to be an issue to but once you are doing a regular workout because it is fast paced for me the to time passes quickly. Cardio recovery though seemed to take fo-evah and it was like 30 minutes. I think it seemed that way because it was much s-l-o-w-e-r

i think the length of the workouts combined with the fact that i'm a fitness instructor and still need to be fresh for the 3 classes a week that i teach was too much. i need my additional workouts to be around 30 minutes, some of the insanity workouts were over an hour. i hit a wall. i'm going to try jm in the mornings starting monday! there's a group on myfitnesspal doing jillian michaels 30 day shred.

I looked on the site, and I think there will be a one pay option there, too. It looks like you give your info, they will tell you about more stuff on the next page, and then they will give you a payment option.

I have been doing Insanity for almost two years now and it is still challenging. I have notice a significant change in how I look and feel. I am just about half way through Insanity: The Asylum which is much harder.

I plan on starting this today!

I'll post the results of the fitness test after I finish. I really out of shape so I'm expecting them to be horrible but the whole point is to improve!

Yippee!

(I'm sure I won't be as pumped after I'm super sore tomorrow morning)

The person that I was supposed to be doing this with bailed. She's the one with the DVDs. She said we'll start next Monday instead.

Why do all of my exercise buddies bail?!?!

I ended up doing 30DS instead. Oh well.
