Default The Banana Diet

I just finished reading this artical on the banana diet. I thought it was actually pretty interesting since I love bananas and usually eat one for breakfast and always take them for a snack to work. I usually eat them with yogurt or milk in the morning though, not just water.

Interesting.

Anything that has the word "diet" tacked onto the back of it has me skeptical though. Are you following the diet?

I am not actually following the diet, but I eat a lot of banana's, usually 2 a day. One for breakfast and then one for a mid-afternoon snack. I am not one to really get into the "diet" scene of things because it is just a quick fix that I can't make last. I like to eat healthy and workout a lot. Banana's are just an easy on the go food.

My first instinct to this thread was but bananas are soo expensive ATM!! Our banana plantations got flooded earlier this year.

My next response is..what is it?

Same here. When they start to turn 'fluffy' just before the mushy stage, I gag on them though. So I prefer them just as they've got ripe, a little green on the ends.

I think banana is also perfect on your diet because banana can help you restore energy and it is rich in fiber which good on our digestive system.

Morning Banana Diet Rules Morning Banana Diet
Bananas are probably the worse of fruits when it comes to integrating a specific food item in one's diet. They have a much lower water and fiber content than other fruits, and these two nutrients are key in satisfying hunger.

It does look neat for branding a diet as different though, which is what the article tries to do by using bananas.

All the best.

I've never heard of this. I always have a banana with peanut butter for breakfast. Every morning. I have to say, it does help in the department that it's supposed to help in.

On the contrary to what a previous poster mentioned - bananas are a good fruit to incorporate in your diet if you have bloating problems. It's one fruit, aside from berries, that are easily digestible. This diet seems more about digestion than anything else.
