I think the last way I applied it is very similar to how you described in that I focused on my ends first but I used the KCCC just for that and then I used my big tub of cheap gel for bulk part of my hair.....but I added a final step of going back and adding more KCCC to the ends again. This is because I'm constantly adding more water and I think it's washing away some of the product.

Overall I like using the conditioner as my leave in especially because I have times when I just say no to gel for weeks. Occasionally I use moose when I'm on a gel strike.

Any thoughts or techniques for moose?

What kind of mousse are u using?

My technique for applying mousse is after my normal cowash/RI/LI routine, blot hair with old shirt & then section off hair applying mousse to each section. I love mousse but can't find something that's CG near me.

I also bought the moisturizing TreSemme Naturals because I inadvertently bought the sleek version. I will use the moisturizing conditioner as my leave in. I feel like my hair has been yearning for more moisture.

I decided to buy more Kinky Curly Curling Custard. I wanted to try the Knot Today but it advertises as a detangler and I don't want anything that's going to smooth out my curls.

However I think I'm gonna try the Goddess Curls LMAO even though it says "for women and girls" ........ now that I think of it.... NO I made a vow to myself to not use any sexist products that say its for females.

MMMMMM that Goddess Curls has my curls POPPIN. Lol. You betta do it.

Nah, I can understand that. I hate using products that are advertised towards a certain ethnic group so at first I was giving CURLS the side eye, but I just sucked it up and went with it. Haha.

@Fonki

I used to use any and all kinds of mousse but since I dropped cones and sulfates I'm not sure which kind to use now.

I fell in love with the way it comes out the bottle when you press the nozzle.

My hair was shorter way short then but I like that there are levels of hold just like gel but not as gooey as gel

@ItzKelCeeEee

I will try it. I didn't realize it was a gel and how thick it is until I picked up the bottle. Is it like KCCC?

Just got my DENMAN Brush

I'm not sure how to use it or when to use it. If someone has pointers for ways of using DENMAN brushes then please please share your insight with me

I can't find any good advice for using DENMAN brush on long curly hair.

Now I wonder why I even bought it LMAO I must love bandwagons.

General thought process that I've seen is in the shower, to detangle your hair while it's got conditioner in it. Unless you're trying the super soaker method. Then you do something else entirely.

Update PIC

This is 3rd day hair. Just got out shower and it got a little wet. Compared to the pic I posted in post before this one you can really see how much it shrinks on 1st day hair.

Im trying to go until Saturday before I cowash again. I want to see if my new routine is providing super moisture levels that allow me to go longer without cowash.

And yeah that's a pimple on my face

HEAT !(o_O)!

This is my first summer with hair in years and I cant believe how hot it makes things. Rember last summer I had just started growing my hair from rocking bald heads for years.

HAIR EXPERIMENT
This week I am going to do a prewash using Vaseline, shampoo out, and then let air dry. I used to do this when I had shorter hair but now I want to see how the routine will need to tweak for longer hair. I'lll post pics and the description for how I do it. Stay tuned ☺☺☺☺☺

My last Posts and Visit to Naturally Curly

This hair style I am about to do to my hair will be the last posts and visit to the site. I hope I was able to share enough of my personal hair journey that at least one person was able to take and learn something from me. I am leaving the forum because I want to learn about ways of taking care of my hair and styles.

Unfortunately for me I think this site promotes more non-natural styles, which is excellent for some, but not real enough for me.

As I stated earlier I will be doing a prewash example showing how you can wash your hair in such a way that afterwards you dont need to apply anything else. No leave-in and No gels etc.

My experience has been with Vaseline but I just bought a generic brand of Petroleum Jelly which is basically the same thing.

I will post more pics of my hair before, throughout, and after sometime this week when I do it.

Ah... Now I see the last post. I do understand the reason though.

So long Princeton. It's a shame you won't be gracing the pages of the forum any more.

I was just getting into this thread and he leaves! Did he ever explain the new method? I agree with him though, all these products aren't natural.

I'm doing a no soap experiment at the moment and my body is producing less smell and grease I don't use soap and just scrub in the shower and don't smell.

I might try the same thing with my hair, just scrub wash and let the remaining natural oils be my gel.
