Which Ampro style gel should I get?

Attachment 13978

DESCRIPTION:

This product is alcohol free.

OR?

Pro Style Berry Ice Ultimate Hold

Attachment 13979

DESCRIPTION: Berry Ice confines and controls hard to manage hair; defines curl shape and keeps hair from expanding. This special formula calms frizzies, manages curls and delivers the ULTIMATE hold.

I want to get the Pro style Berry Ice Ultimate Hold because it says "defines curls." It also says "non-greasy feeling." Has anybody ever tried any of these two? If anybody has tried these please give me feedback on how it worked for you?

Dude also as reference I recommend you to try proclaim curl activator gel it does what it says makes your curl pop! I use it and it works fine http://tapatalk.com/mu/45ff6a52-6f93-f06b.jpg

dandt1995 06-13-2011 02:59 PM

I don't know. I already have Long Aid activator gel, and I don't like it. This stuff looks exactly the same. Is it thick?

Tank10 06-13-2011 07:16 PM

Nope it's depends on how much you use

I was trying to find a gel myself man, and a friend suggested Curls Goddess Curl from target. It dries a bit harder than I like by itself, but when combined with a leave in conditioner it works really really well (good hold, soft to the touch, and not sticky at all)

dandt1995 06-13-2011 09:09 PM

I will try it maybe. I have gone through so many products...
It's not funny

Me and you both... For a solid month I was heading to Sally's & Target on a weekly basis. The girl at the Sally's counter started laughing at me by week 3. Once you get that right combo that works for you though... it should be smooth sailing.

Ye once I can find the right combo that's the thing...

Ampro Clear Ice gel was okay for me at first . It really defines curls. My only issue is that if it mixes with too many other products it can flake in little balls. NOT SO GOOD.

I use Berry Ice gel now. It defines curls very well an it doesnt get rock hard.

In my experience, gel always makes my hair hard. The two things that I do to fight that are 1) use less product and 2) scrunch out the crunch (SOTC) with my bare hands or with a little oil or pomade. HTH

the ampro gel flaked on me really bad. And b/c I have almost jet black hair, my friends were always telling me that my hair was flaking. You would think it was because i was irritating the gel area but even on days where i never touched my hair, it would flake -.- i gave up eventually. I haven't tried the berry ice, though.

I use the Softee clear gel and it makes my curls pop.I also use a leave-in so I won't have the hardness to deal with. Also I mist my hair with olive oil for bounce and shine. My profile pic shows one of my wash n gos using Softee clear gel.
