Ampro Pro Styl Gel.

I found it at Dollar tree for a buck. I've read a few posts that guys have mentioned this. It's was only a dollar so I picked it up. I tried it friday morning. NICE! My hair was so shiny I thought it was still wet when I left work. My curls were so loose yet clumpy and defined that I thought my hair, which I hadn't touched since I left the house, would be extremely crunchy. As I was getting cleaned up to go home I grabbed a handful of my hair to SOTC and was amazed at how soft my hair was. Soft, shiny hair with clumpy, defined and loose curls is what I've been trying for for months. Now I just need to come up with a few different ways to do my hair.
Rake and shake, Scrunch and plop!
That stuff is great man. I used to use it like "crack" lol it works wonders on short curls too.

FYI (for people who still use cones) its a protein gel so as long as you stay away from cones when applying this gel you shouldn't have problems using it. Comes and protein don't blend well. The cones (dimethicone or other non water-soluble ingredients) can prevent the protein from attaching to the hair so it just clumps up and leaves it very visible on top of the hair.

I guess I should ask how have you applied gel in such a way that it damages your hair? Also, how long do you keep it in before rewetting, reviving, or rewashing it out?

The ingredients found in gel can also be found in other styling products.

I was kind of freaked out when I first opened it and saw that it was black. I noticed it has caramel coloring in it. I don't know if the color helps or not but fortunately I have dark hair already. I like the way it helps keeps my curls loose.

I also saw the American Crew Pomade in the store last night. I bought it. I love it. Now I need to find some cone free conditioners that don't smell fruity or flowery and I'll have it made as far as my hair goes.

I dunno...I didn't use that gel as a styling product for my whole head because my friend told me its only for edges and flyaways. I used it on my edges for a couple of months and it holds pretty good but it really flaked on me the clear version was not much better. The only ampro product I use now is the shine n jam

Ampro dudes, without reading the ingredients of this gel, and going by Princeton's review that it is a Protein gel, the dudes that are having problems with this gel may be....wait for it.....Protein Sensitive (like me), if you are a Course Curly, then you could be protein sensitive....

Sorry to barge in on the dudes, but not much going on in my other threads.

Modern writing instruments have progressed technically from pens to ballpoint pens, rollerball pens, gel ink pens. The use of ink pens based has been maintained over the years due to the degree of permanence ink provides a means of writing. In this way, not doodles and notes on paper fade and are still legible after a long period of time. Most of the pens are in fact designedink are not rechargeable and disposal of devices so that users can perform repairs gel pen.

At the beginning of ink gel-based devices of writing

The only downside of pens gel ink formulation is water-based ink that driesinstantly when exposed indefinitely. The ball tip tends to jam due to ink dryingup - especially when left open without cover when not in use. Users instituterepairs gel pen to restore its ability to write, which seems to be a waste of timein most cases.

Gel pen repair processes are manifold, but the most effective method is to include water in the system restore. The ink is soluble in water and a smalldrop of water in the tip of the pen will definitely solve the problem. The water (universal solvent) will loosen up dried ink on the tip of a ballpoint pen and reset his movement on the ball in paper costs while expanding its print capabilities as well. Thus, users of gel ink pens should make a habit of closing the cap of the pen when not in use to prevent ink from drying up.

LOLx iStopped using gels months ago but I used to be a big fan of gel. Now I just stay simple and use my conditioner back as my styling agent.
