To understand the best hair care for your particular hair (I'm talking about hair care, not styling), you actually should take time to determine your hair properties:
- texture: fine, medium, or coarse
- porosity: low, normal, or high
- elasticity: low or normal
- density: thin, medium, or thick
Some product ingredients and routines will care for some hair and its given properties much better than others, and some will wreak havoc.
If you haven't already, you should check out the curly hair education section of Live Curly Live Free - Home. It's got a clear, concise discussion of all of this and why it's essential to know for proper hair care.
